Black grille and corner lights >?

I've been looking at Toyota/OEM grilles as well aftermarket ebay/Amazon grilles to replace my chrome grille with black. Some look black, some look black/grey to me and hard to tell from low-res web photos what is good or not.

For OEM Toyota I have found black mica which is probably paint matched to the black tacos, as well as a cheaper 'standard' one. Not sure the color of 'standard'.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket black grille with matching corner lights? Or have any experience with the 'standard' OEM replacement I found here: https://partsfactory.camelbacktoyot...as-engine/body-cat/grille-and-components-scat

How they holding up? Also how was the installation. I assume you have to take the bumper off ?

 

Sweet. How did you end up painting the corner lights ?

 

Oh I need to find those. What bulbs are you running in them by chance ?

 

I got this set right about a year ago. No issues. I did use compressed air to blow out some small assembly debris.

I bought one on ebay for about $60 shipped to replace the chrome grill I had; fit was perfect and all the tabs/clips were intact.



It doesn't come with the Toyota emblem though, so you have to carefully pry yours off from your existing grill.

Front headlights/side markers were also purchased on ebay.

Made everything look new again.

 

Gotta do the same thing with my grille and lights, eventually. The trucks I'm seeing in here make me swoon...

 

I have made up my mind and decided to have the grille and side lights color matched to the truck. getting her painted anyways, so why not...
