in other places it rains year round... you get worse mileage in the winter because of the winter blend of fuel.

    https://newsroom.aaa.com/2013/06/what-is-the-difference-between-summer-and-winter-blend-gasoline/

"The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) says conventional summer-blend gasoline contains 1.7 percent more energy than winter-blend gas, which is one reason why gas mileage is slightly better in the summer. However, the summer-blend is also more expensive to produce, and that cost is passed on to the motorist."

I'm lucky to get 15 mpg (current reading 13.5 mpg) but then I drive like I stole it pretty much all the time. Although if not for the window stickers it would probably be more like 10 mpg :D

Wow. This is probably the first time that I liked the whole package down to the wheels. Nice work.

I'm overlooking the steps on the sliders.

    Ditto. Clean and cool.

Driving home from northern California last week, the leg from Santa Cruz to Paso Robles going approximately 65mph, the tank average was at 26.7 in a DCLB V6 with about 600 lbs. in it until I hit a stretch of U.S. 101 South that completely stopped for about twenty minutes due to road construction. After that I there were hills and headwinds which knocked things down a bit, but before that it had been slowly creeping toward 27mpg. Driving the same trip back from Monterey six weeks ago, towing a U-Haul, the entire trip averaged 20 mpg. Given the right conditions, these 5,000 lb. trucks can be surprisingly efficient. Hills, speed, headwind and Cruise Control are all enemies of better gas mileage.

Agree. I typically despise the orange color, but god damnit that's a good looking motor vehicle. Do you ever consider taking off the vent shades? I have the AVS low profile things, feels like they remove half the visibility from the window as they aren't see through, but they look as sharp as my nipples are right now.

I must have stopped somewhere that day, my work commute is about 28 miles and its some stop and go with lights. I usually average 27-30 mpg. I don't think a long distance highway trip would be any worse if I drove reasonably.
