I do not own any Mob Town stuff, but they would be the first place I look for good armor (besides the 40% TRD sales skid :D). He/They are regular and respected member(s) on this forum and a lot of members use there products daily without complaints They answered your post here on TW quickly and honestly.

To make it worse, I worked in intel. Try telling someone that’s been told they’re wrong that has been told their entire life that they’re god’s gift to earth.

Could have been worse. I could have gone to VT for my second degree :fistbump:

I like how people come into a thread, say their piece and then declare "thread closed".

I agree with you, I think Mobtown is as good, if not better than the majority of vendors on TW. Their presence and support on this forum is second to none. However, they are not without their faults.

As OP experienced, a lot of the communication through their website and sales is lacking. Not all of their products are as bullet proof as their sliders... There's no reason that we, as customers, can't discuss some of their short comings. This thread has in no way been a witch hunt or really aggressive in any way.

Given my experience with them, I'd order from them again. Could it be better? Sure.

There are a couple problems with hiring a low wage part-time worker, which you may be familiar with.

You are still going to have to train them on the in's and out's of your business and all of the inner workings. Paying someone $11/hr. you are not going to get a reliable or smart person who can retain all of that information and be able to respond to customers in a professional and concise manner.

If you want a "secretary" who is worth their weight, they're going to be demanding a $35k++ salary with full benefits. What you might not know, if you don't own a business, is that $35k salary is going to cost you $100k as a business owner, between salary, taxes, and benefits.

It's a tough spot to be in because the customer service stuff takes away from production and some customs can REALLY be a pain in the ass - the time it takes to deal with their BS costs more than the profit you'll make from selling them something. Hopefully they can get it all sorted out soon.

    This guy here gets it...

Knowing that you can't run from it... would you just stand there? Despite knowing it's futile, I'm sure it's impossible not to run.

    People need their hand held.

I bought from BAMF. This dude makes things out of metal and sells them. I asked if he had a thing, he said yes, and I bought it. That is the end of that transaction. But not for everyone. If there is a minute speck of rust, then the guy has to deal with a rust issue. If a coating has a flake off the corner, then the guy has a coating issue he now has to deal with, either in shipping and returns, or explaining how touch up paint works. And at the end of the day, the consumer says something along the lines of “I paid x amount of money for something, I want it perfect”

I don’t know how to relate to these people, so I just can’t speak on how to deal with them. I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with internet commerce.

Jerry’s responses are almost as quality as his product. He also sells touch up paint on his site, which is a baller move to thwart an issue that isn’t his problem (rubbing in shipping).

I would say I’m brick and mortar. Not even... one-off fabrication for mostly Jeep peeps (that’s all that’s around here)
And I know better than to sell online to Tacoma owners. I would get shredded by customer service Tacoma yelpers. My bends and welds are tight, the structure is solid. The finish is not something I care about, and peoples heads would explode.

People state "thread closed," cause a issue has been literally beating to a pulp. Consumers today want instant gratification and if they do not get there perceived satisfaction, they bitch on the internet for no reason. It will get them nowhere, but may potentially hurt a very good small company. It is a custom fab shop, it will take time, not next day air Amazon stuff.

Holgs spanked them and that guy can’t coach his way out of a wet paper bag. Vols fans have the most insane optimism I’ve ever witnessed.

Pfft. That was some local guy that was a Nervous Nellie. Only country that should fear NK is Japan because they keep flying those nerf rockets over the mainland. I was more upset that shit woke me up (cell phones went bezerk). I put a pot of coffee on, checked the news, and made breakfast.

I’m talking the savior of the people ( ), now Russian comrade in arms.

I believe this is mostly true. What about a business that offers no health benefits, or a business that employs unionized workers, who's union dues pay for their benefits?
