I've found that lots of times you park a ways off by yourself and when you come out there is still someone on each side of you with no one else in a blocks area.

First spot I see I take. Dings and scratches happen, even in my own driveway. (Kids). My wife always wants me to stalk for close spots. Not me. I'm already in the store while she'd still waiting.:p

I just park farther so I've got more time to admire my truck on the walk back. :)

I try to park away from everybody when possible. I hate parking by people who are careless and in a hurry.

the gf actually helps me find the good parking spots either far away or the ones that are at the corners so i can park as close to the edge and leave more than enough room on the other side so the car next to me can open the door without touching my truck...

I'm used to the flaws in my paint by now. Lots of rock chips from the highway and scratches from the trail. Some A-hole decided to drive against my front fender/bumper in a Safeway parking lot last spring, mostly paint transfer but its still noticeable. Just need a nice steel bumper and sliders. Parking lot armor.

I always hunt for corner spots so at least half of my truck will be ok. Also parking by curbs helps too and gives the gf another step to get in and out of my truck. Brownie points for later! :D
