Small box in the passenger side rear floorboard and then use Walmart/Grocery/etc bags in it since I have a million of them. Easy to pull out and replace and great for the long drives.

The box is even from a Toyota part I ordered and is printed Toyota all over it, so OEM right?

I don't generate much either, except water bottles. Tons of water bottles. I just use the back floor until I get home.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I hope so as well --there was another "litterbug" in the discussion if you missed it. I wonder if they know how much of their tax money cities and states have to spend to clean up after the IDIOTS and LOWLIFES who throw their trash out of their vehicles?
My compliments to the individuals who offer "real" solution to the OP!
Tax money spent unnecessarily is not humorus!

I always throw my small trash in that door open compartment with the 2 cupholders that I never put cups into. Would be amazing to have a container that can slide into those cupholders with a magnetized flap door. You could use it for small trash like receipts and gum wrappers for example, and you could simply pull it out of there when you’re ready to dump everything out.

I totally get throwing out the trash immediately if it’s a bottle, soda can, sandwich wrapper etc, bc you dont want tiny food particles to decompose and make your cabin smell like my grandma’s cunt, but sometimes you get tiny trash that doesn’t really warrant you making the effort to make a trip and pitch it each time. That’s why I think a small container that can fit and slide into the driver side’s door cupholders would be a very good idea.

I tossed my empty out the window and popped the top from another can of Schlitz. Littering the public highway? Of course I litter the public highway. Every chance I get. After all, it’s not the beer cans that are ugly; it’s the highway that is ugly.” – Edward Abbey

    I’m feeling this quote.

I don’t litter. Besides the obvious reason of doing my part in not trashing the place, another reason is that every person I’ve witness litter is a straight up scummer. Don’t trash the place. Don’t be a gross scumbag who wears sweatpants to the grocery store.

Yeah carry a backpack 1/2 full of stuff. Like a thermos full of coffee and a water bottle, you know. My backpack rides shotgun. It has the basics in it. It’s not a survival kit, it’s not a med kit, it’s not a bug out bag. It’s a backpack that has two thermos in it. A knife. A flashlight. Some Advil. Chap stick. Whatever. I put trash in the backpack and when I bring it inside I empty it. What kind of trash are you generating in your truck? The most I have to deal with is receipts.

Yeah I just realized that midpost. What kind of trash are we talking about here?

Because now I’m imagining a guy on his 5th lunchable and 8th Capri sun while he’s driving and he’s tossing this trash into a cardboard box thinking “there’s gotta be a better way”
