I believe this is the part # for the spring clips: 049470C010

I have 64,000 on mine and the pads still have plenty of life left. I hope I can hold off until 75k. I usually check them every 5k when I rotate. Oh and I am also thinking about doing this upgrade when the time comes. Decisions, decisions. LoL :)

Good deal! Thank you! I've got some decent added weight so I'm trying to decide on OEM or aftermarket...leh sigh

Installed 5100s in the rear today. Did not remove tire or lift truck. Just did it as it sits. Didn’t take hardly any time.

These Sumosprings SSR-610-40 are worthless. I do not recommend. Truck will sag with only 300lbs in bed. Wasted $200.

    3423AFBE-7E65-4D2B-BCE1-4E06E9F5117F.jpg

Going to AAL from Toyteclifts. Turns out it is cheaper than sumosprings

Went for a short trip, and those 5100s are like night-n-day over O.E. The old Bilstien drivers side shock was shot. Passenger side still OK. Did anyone notice the crack in the mount on the Sumosprings? Trying to see if they will warranty it. If they do I will sell them. If not, garbage can. I had the 5100s on my 05 and loved them. 05 had the TSB leaf pack, but I installed Timbrens at that time. And they are better than Sumosprings. IMHO. Still waiting to install front 5100s with the AAL to check ride height.

Update: After removing Sumosprings, found there was no crack. Turned out to be black paint flaking at mount. Sumosprings are OK. Purchased in March if Anyone’s interested in them.

Installed a new shift knob (stock). Installed my 2015 hazard switch, no clock, it says "TACOMA".
Picked up some bulbs from the dealer for my TRAC off and RSCA switches. Part number is 90011-01058, rubber tip is amber but mine are green (I know you can switch them, we call them bulb condoms at work). Does anybody know the part number for the bulbs with green caps?
I also picked up my chassis hole plug and some chassis rail seals with required bolts that I saw in the frame recall instructions. I don't need them, just wanted to check them out.

I put the bulbs in with no covers, I'll see what they look like tonight. Hopefully they are white so they match my CH4x4 switches.

2 step paint correction on my bedSIDES in preparation for my @SOS CONCEPTS HC rear bumper. The bedside tubes will make any compounding or polishing difficult so I’m doing it now and then probably never again. Got rid of a TON of pinstripes. This 2008 paint looks so good under all the trail kisses.

Took my big hammer to the lower pinch welds and made a lot more room for activities. But it with some paint & called it a day.

    2 pics Before

    2 pics after.

Then I threw some paint on my TG diff cover that will be welded on next week

Can you give some info on what paint/clearcoat treatment you had done, and about how much it cost? I'm considering doing something similar to my trucks paint, since it has a bunch of pinstripes, and swirls.

I did 2 passes with meguiars Mirror glaze heavy cutting compound on a microfiber cutting pad & then two passes with Sonax Perfect finish polish on an orange foam pad. Then I put a coat of Jescar powerlock on the paint & I will top that with some Collinite 845 insulator wax & each wash I use AMMO Hydrate as a drying aide. The bedSIDES didn’t need claybar treatment but they were covered in all types of depth scratches. REAL paint correction costs a lot of money but most people just pay a guy with a rotary tool and no skill to put rotary marks all over their car.

I'm doing that this weekend but I'm going to tape off the edges a 1/2" so I dont have to weld through the paint. Then I'll touch it up after in done burning it in.

Test fitting this told me the edges have to be ground down a little bit anyway so idc if my fabricator has to flapper Wheel it for a few seconds before burning it on. Good plan though for sure

Yeah, I paid a guy to detail my truck once and that's what I got back. Took it to another guy a month later who fixed everything the first guy messed up and the issues I took it to have fixed in the first place. The second guy is now my go-to. Bonus - his shop is literally just around the block from my house.

Yeah that’s the problem. And that’s why I’ve been correcting my trucks paint in very small sections at a time. I literally don’t have the patience or time to do the whole truck at once, and I get it scratched up every month anyway so I don’t really care, but I want to do the whole truck at least once so that there is a clean slate at least from that point on. Getting into paint correction, proper washing techniques and paint maintenance is a very slippery slope but it’s not rocket science. Just anyone reading this beware, there are a lot of guys out there with the rotary who will make your car very shiny, but cover it in rotary track marks, and it looks awful, and none of those guys typically prep the paint in anyway, with a Claybar or iron fall out remover or anything

Just replaced both rotors and pads. Didn't make the sound go away. Also read it could be the driveshaft needing grease. Also wasn't that. Just can't figure it out. Mine sounds like something has a little play in it so when I stop or go it has room to move and hit something. Just one clunk every time.
