Does anyone know if I can swap the power doors with manuals on my 95 taco without shorting out the electronics. All I would need to do is hook up the speaker wiring but I don’t want to short out the wires to my power windows and locks in the process, is that a possible problem or?

So the Tesla actually bent in my front impact bar when it backed into me. Worth getting it fixed/having insurance get involved?

Yes. Get a check for a new steel bumper. A lot of people on here pray for that exact situation to happen to them lol.

So what go get a repair estimate, then just take cash over the repair? Is there any risk anything else got jacked up? I can't really imagine so, it was super slow speed, dude was trying to parallel park and didn't shift out of reverse so added power (i'd say gas but it's a tesla so...) and hit me from maybe a foot or two away.

edit: also if I do get the cash and want to use it for something else on the truck, any real risk to the truck with that bent impact bar? Can't imagine so.... but..figured i'd ask.

Yeah get an estimate through your adjuster or a collision shop. Then ask for a check from the other guys insurance. Use that check on an Arb or whatever suits your fancy. Doubt anything else got messed up.

Other than looks? I doubt it. Its basically a tin can, bent or unbent. Pretty useless in a real collision imo.

How the hell does a Tesla back into you by accident? There is one of the biggest screens ever to be installed on an automobile right in front of them.

    Absolutely get insurance involved.

Take the cash, however check your frame for obvious damage. They could’ve bent your frame horns. Replacing the crash bar is simple if that’s all it needs.

Didn't see anything else when I was looking. Are the frame horns Part #9 on the diagram?
