My truck is getting pretty bad think I'm actually going to go over to my folks house one day and really take some time on buffing it out.

I just run through the touchless car washes. Did that yesterday it gets most of the mud off. If I really get some gumption I go to one of the bays and spend 20 bucks on washing it.

Just wheel what you feel comfortable doing. Just cause someone else wants to rock crawl doesn’t mean you have to rock crawl too. I prefer rolling speed and covering miles when I put it in 4WD. I’ve ridden my mtn bike thru too many rock gardens. No need to do them in my truck.

I prefer gravel and hard dirt paths at a decent pace. Some of my favorites are up near Clemson.

Probably stating the obvious that I’m done with mud...

For high compound and buffering?!? That’ll be 2am at the Cracker Barrel on HWY 11. Tap the stall wall twice for extra compound.

I hate mud, and I always say I’m done bogging in anything deep, then as soon as I see a good hole I can’t resist. It’s always so much fun in the moment, and I did just order new Mud Terrain tires today.

Or you just wheel in the SE and that's what we got to deal with on a regular basis.

Yup, same. I tell my self "no mud, have to clean it off after and deal with unbalanced wheels on the way home." Then I jam right into it.

That too, when I lived in SoCal for 3 years not once did I drive in mud. I did however smoke my dirt bike because I didn’t know how to prep it for sand....but that’s another story :spending:

If you run your fingernail against the scrapes, does it just catch a bit or can you actually feel it get caught and stop? Trying to figure out how deep they are.

That’s not as bad as they look then.

You can either do a quicker fix (clay, compound, polish, wax) that won’t be perfect but will probably hide them unless you get up super close. Or you can go the sanding route but that is a little less dummy proof.
