Has anybody heard of a product you can use to replace your OEM back up cam to work with a dash cam? I really want to get the dash cam, but I dont want to rear cam to be out in the open (plus I would prefer the OEM look. It's more clean) if anybody knows of anything similar to it, that would be amazing. TIA

Just an update for you man, I found a tailgate handle and camera replacement that can be hooked up to a dash unit to view behind you and record if your unit has that option

Do u have this ? If so how do u like it and the quality? Just bought this yesterday. Planning a decent system upgrade and figured it was a good time to update my old grainy license plate clip on cam. I Heard a lot of people getting the pop n lock one and some had criticism of that and then the camera source one was a tad pricier than this. I went this route bc it wasn’t the pop n lock and it was sub $100. My taco is an 08 and I’m trying to mainly bring it to more modern times, but like most things. My budget for this has gone way out the window lol. So let’s see Even tho this one may end up being sorry lol

I wish i bought it sooner. I've just been waiting for when I have the extra money to buy it, which will possibly be next week lol. And in completely understand trying to make it more modern. I'm doing practically the exact same thing. If you're looking for a nice radio unit to get, I got a really nice 6.2 inch touch screen with android software, so it can run apps like youtube, google maps, spotify, and anything else you can get on your phone. Here's the one I bought if you're curious

yeah I looked at the reviews and some are good and there are others that like hate on it lol. I was like damn. For under $100 maybe I roll the dice lol. That unit looks sweet! I ordered the Kenwood dmx906s bc it had wireless CarPlay on it. I think the screen is 6.95”

And plus, if you test it before putting everything together, then you can just return it lol. And that's awesome! Hopefully that works well for you man!

So l currently have a OEM back up cam but looking for a better view of what’s behind me while on the highway.Does this camera do more than what OEM will do? I don’t want a better view of the top of my bumper!?

Also thinking about a side view cam that attaches to the bottom of the passenger side rear view mirror.Like what Honda has for its vehicles
