Well, took grandson with us to pick my son up from airport tonight. We went to dinner after. My grandson picked up a knife by the handle. My first instinct was to grab it ASAP. I grabbed the blade, he pull back, cut my finger pretty good. Last week while chopping onions, I cut the side of my thumb on opposite hand to the bone. I’m clearly having issues with all things that have blades these days. Both bled pretty good. @JaCado called me and told me how to get the bleeding stopped cuz nothing I was doing was stopping it. I REFUSED to go get stitches and add to my medical bills!!! Now I know what to do for this one.

Found some of the glue in my medicine cabinet days after the first cut. I had no idea it was in there!

Super glue seems like a super idea. seems like i heard that some ortho surgeons use it to close hip or knee incisions...

    Also used in the military;)
I haven't and my wife haven't been to the doc for stitches in 20 plus years. Taken quite a few cuts/ mauling of a finger in that time.
I have had 3 or 4 major ones and the wife had one.... she stabbed herself in the forearm open one of the kids toys with a knife. She called me in a panic telling me I needed to rush home she had made a mistake. So I drove home from work.
Trying to cut the zip tie, the knife slipped and buried itself 3/4 of a inch deep on the blade on the inner part of the forearm. She just missed the artery by a fraction. Got the bleeding stopped, sealed it with super glue, repeat cleaning and reseal every few days. She is as good as new in a couple weeks.
