    This keeps getting better!

Are there still some other load calculation tables that aren’t defined?

I have a question in regards to the trans tuning. Could the trans be tuned in a way to sort of mimic an IPT valve body? Ive got the 4-5 flare and some other occasional weird shifting, shudder, etc. If I could tune the trans similar to what a valve body upgrade would do, that would save some money for sure.

So for all of us out there currently not too familiar with tuning, how can this be used to our advantage ?

I have yet to dive into playing with shift pressures on the auto trans. You could definitely up the gear pressures at lower / mid throttle openings, but at WOT from what i can tell you might only be able to firm up shifts by ~4-5% PSI (how that translates into feel I do not know). Also, I feel as though there are "ramp tables" that are not tuneable yet (and might not be tuneable at all) that alter how quickly gear psi's are achieved to alter firmness of shifts.

Im not exactly sure what the IPT valve does to the physical valve body, but id imagine it quickens and firms up shifts via different springs to alter pressures. Anyone got a link to exactly what the IPT valve body upgrade does to our 5speeds?

The way I understand it this valvebody isnt just a shift kit, it also upgrades parts that are prone to wear, what those are I dont know....

Edit: I guess I answered my own question in a way, this would be the "correct" way to do it, but there probably could be additional benefits to adjusting the tuning as well.

upgrades solenoids and springs in the valve body. When I installed mine, that was the tricky part.. making sure they didnt fly out or lose them.

This may have been asked or even done but...

What are the chances of a HP Tuners sticky section? Things like
    -SAI delete DIY
    -Throttle pedal remap DIY
    -Rev hang (Throttle crack) DIY
Perhaps even some tuning tables categorized by fuel Octane and mods?

Just a thought. If something exists steer me right. Might be easier than 170+ pages of reading.

Careful with posting guides to disable emissions related components. There could be consequences to that.

At the very minimum there needs to be an off road only disclaimer. VW didn’t post a guide, they didn’t even tell anyone and look what it cost them.

True, but still. Even with the disclaimer, the EPA can go after companies for offering tools to defeat emissions. I want HP Tuners to stay around for a long time.

Even then, it's a slippery slope. Ask VDubb, Harley and the vocal diesel truck tuning gurus around the country that have gotten fined. Not jumping on a soap box or on a high horse here in any way, but Federal laws impact even regional areas that don't require emissions testing. It pays to be careful.

Nice to have confirmation. I always take the one owner, adult owned, garage kept, driven only on weekends by grandma going to church description in sales ads with a grain of salt.
