So, I wasn't a huge fan of the foam mattress in my RTT but it was better than my thermarest and I put up with it for 2 years. Recently, I started looking for something to replace it (it was breaking down after many nights of sleep) and ultimately I landed on the Exped Megamat.

I got the Megamat 10 Duo LXW (long and wide) because it is essentially the exact size of the floor of the RTT, but if you're a single sleeping in a tent, you may not need the Duo LXW and might be able to get away with a smaller one.
They are not cheap by a long shot, but they provide great comfort and support IMO. At 4" thick inflated, no part of your body touches the ground. And, with a combo of foam and air, it's super comfortable. And, reasonably compact when rolled up - for the largest one I'd say it's a 1' diameter cylinder, 2 feet long; the others of course will be even more compact.

 thats expensive. Looks nice though, ill take a gander. Definitely looking for something for 2 people but i dont know what my tent floor is off the top of my head. Probably 4ft. Ill keep the thermarest for just in case stuff

I’m not the sharpest tack in the box, and have only been camping about 500 nights, but I don’t understand the benefits of a RTT. I have slept under the stars on mountains in the middle of December. And tarped it with a poncho in black fly season. The thought of having a two bedroom apartment on the bed of my means of transportation is beyond my aforementioned dulled brain.

I got one of those mattresses and have only used it for a few nights so far, but it's much better than the stiff foam mattress that came with my Tepui. I can actually sleep on my side now and not wake up with a sore shoulder. I'd never change my decision to make the purchase.
Really just depends on your camping style. If you off road and don't base camp at one spot, it's great. Don't have to worry about rocky/wet ground, setup is fast, and all your bedding can fit inside.

Needed? Nah. But much more convenient than a traditional tent IMO.

Down to high 20's - super toasty and no condensation under it at all because of it's insulation capabilities. And that's with an anticondensation mat in the RTT. I'd always have tons of condensation under the anti-condensation mat with the stock foam mattress.

    Same same.

It wasn't long - as is typical for us - before we stopped to take in the views. Running along a ridge, we'd already forked off of Corral Creek road - which was gated and locked - and were now following another road that might connect, if only there wasn't a locked gate somewhere along the way. Regardless, the views were some of the best we'd seen from Craig Mountain, a recent wildfire having cleared any tress that would have blocked the horizon.

The same shit everyone else has.
Looking for a suggestion on adding a bug screen to back window of my shell.

We’re getting to the point where it’s getting too hot to sleep with the back window closed and it’s mosquito season is in full swing.

    Any ideas?

When I was using my bed to sleep in I was considering something like this:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BTO42W...olid=2I2PPD2N72NB1&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

What about making some screens with a h&l backing? Easy to take off/put on.

I have had good luck with this stuff as well:

Any pics of the shackle flip? I cant seem to get mine dialed in just right with dakars and b110s. I've tried every position and went back to the factory shackles. My truck feels like it just kinda wobbles all the time. I thought it was because the dakars were shorter than most leafs.
