Yeah, just back in town; catching up. Both look good, and it's a good indication of how much you can do with just a single exposure.

Did you ever drive mine? Can't remember. It's a good trans but takes some getting used to. The biggest issue for me is thd squeaky clutch pedal... It's so bad.

I want to say I did, but I honestly can't remember. I was more curious about how this engine did being able to control when it shifts. Going from my clapped out 99 to that I felt like I was riding in luxury.

Oh yeah I did when you got your antelope I went and got the truck while you were dressing it out .

Ahh that's right. But not really "driving" it in a usual situation that was. Glad they're still making manual trucks. I love shifting gears even after a long physical day at work. Sure an auto would be nice but it is a first world problem I suppose to have (get) to shift gears to get home lol

Went to a pro tractor pull event today. Bananas. The money in these rigs has to be out of this world. So cool to see so much torque in one day. Cal loved it. Was a 3rd generation four wheel drive truck here from Powell. "Mr Awesome"

As much as I enjoyed it, I feel like it's not enough of a necessity to drop the 40k asking price still. It has only been 10 years since I drove my 1 ton Duramax off the lot for the same price. Crazy what 10 years has done to vehicle prices.

And then no of how much more useful the Duramax is...

I could do it no problem with a slight gear/packing adjustment. Already making plan for at least a dog or two in the future

Anything that squeaks on my rigs gets a healthy spray of silicone lubricant, clutch pedal included. Has worked thus far.

Have you driven the current gen 4 runner? The difference in refinement between my 1st gen Tacoma and 4th gen 4Runner is remarkable. I wonder if they have shrunk the gap nowadays, my 4 runner is light years ahead of the Tacoma as far as handling and creature comfort.

as it should be. Always been the luxious suv for toyota basically.

I know I've driven a 5th gen and it was a total dog. Did not like it. 6th gen might be better, at least the 4.0 still comes with it.

I haven't, I've looked at them before though. I really like the exterior styling but there is something about the inside that keeps us from grabbing one. It's probably more the price tag honestly anymore. I buried myself in debt in my 20's with my business and the freedom of not having that burden anymore makes me really want to like everything about something if I am going to go borrow money for it. Plus our vehicles are just fine, I just want something nicer from time to time is all.

Well couple of options..one is two rigs haha

The other is getting a GFC. Redoing our packing so everything is in the bed as it will be fully protected anyways. Then doing a platform in the back seat area for the dog or dogs.

I'm never going to do a small dog haha maybe a medium dog. But only if I had some land for them to run around in. All up in the air at this point.

I'd never let them ride in the back in an open bed. A) too much highway time so it's not safe. B) I won't slow down haha

Dogs in the cab would be gross, hair, slobber, piss, poop, dog farts, wet dog... nasty.

    And they love the bed

    For sure haha

Though mostly be a wet dog and hair issue. Will see how it goes. If they are brought up in there then its not as bad. I've gone my whole life with them in the bed as well.
