I think those would be too high to stack under the rack easily. They are similar in size to what I have now. Have to go take a look and check them out in person, though.

 

No taller than the Plano I have one and the scout troop has a bunch. I could stack 2 high under my topper with room to spare

If I purchased ditch lights... Anyone willing to do the wiring?.. my last adventure of wiring left me with a panic attack

Ditch lights are a fairly basic circuit. I have a light bar/driving lights hooked up to the switches that came with the kit. Run the leads through the firewall at that blowout plug near your steering wheel and just spaghetti that mess in your engine compartment then constantly complain everytime you open the hood for 4+ years telling yourself that one day when the weather cools off that youll build that aux power panel that youve been sitting on some parts for. *heavy breathing* ... Its not like I speak from experience or anything.

Wiring is easy. Making it look nice is the hard part.

 

What? The custom relay panels or that Aux Power panel thread? Basically, I want all of my aftermarket and future after market equipment to be completely isolated from my vehicles power system. The 100A or 150A Bluesea resettable breaker between the battery and the panel will ensure that I dont overdraw my system. Having all my relays in one spot will make changing them easier. Ill probably go with one of those Littlefuse 60 or GEP 72 for the micro fuses and relays to keep things neat and tidy in the engine compartment. Bus bars for easy reconfiguration as well as setting it to have switched power on ign, in case I forget and leave a component on when I shut the truck off. Dont get me wrong, it's not going to be cheap to do a custom build like that as the initial tool buy-in can be pricy with hydraulic battery terminal crimpers. You might be able to rent this tool from your local auto parts store, I haven't checked. If you're looking at tidying up your connections, Weatherpax connection kits are pricy as well but they are weather proof. It all comes down to how crazy or professional looking your install could be. I'm an aircraft mechanic by trade but I dont specialize in sparky work but its not that difficult. I know how to run a fluke meter, and use a heat gun, own a few crimpers but theres still a few tools I need to source before I start.

Ill still need rolls of 10g and 18g wiring in different color. You dont need to get too crazy like what that other post OP used with fancy colors, just Red and Black. If your labling is on point, there shouldnt be much confusion after everything's said and done. All devices running on 10g wire and all switches to relays on 18g. Red for power, black for grounds. You could do green for lights/leds but that would be more wire you have to purchase. I'm thinking at least 200', maybe 400' of wiring in both colors. A variety of eye and y terminal ends in both gauge ratings. Seems like a lot, but ill put a parts list together before I kick off the un-spaghetti party. Might want to pick up some 1/4 or 5/16 black ABS plastic sheeting for the base. I feel like I'm rambling here, so I'll cut this short-err..
