3rd Gen Owners with King Coilovers

I was looking to get about 2.5 inches of lift and after installing the kings lift kit. Im getting 23.5 inches of lift in the front and 24 in the rear from hub to fender. IIs that roughly around how much you guys are getting?


Also, i was originally told to get kings 600 because im not carrying extra weight in the front. But tbh the 650 feel very good on the road and has truly improved the ride quality so much better than the factory suspension. Im very satisfied with the 650s, i would of gotten the 700's, but people would say here that 650s and 700s are too stiff for no extra wait.

I cant speak for 700's but overall the 650s feel amazing and a lot better than stock! No more bouncing around in the cabin and at the same time it takes in bumps so good!

My set up:
Kings 2.5 650's extended with adjusters front and rear

Icon upper control arms.

Icon RXT leaf springs.

Will be ordering 28570R17KO2s LT and these wheels as well.

 

Try the Timbrens out. That’s what I’m running and it’s been great so far and doesn’t hurt the wallet too much

 

How long have you been running them?

 

Also, have people gotten extended brake lines, or should I just forget about that?

 

I’m bout to lower the front end of the taco... does anyone have any advice? How loose did you guys loosen the collar screw?

 

About 4 months/4K miles. Definitely worth it to me. When bottoming out, it’s more giving now vs a hard abrupt bump.

No extended brake lines. The rear had a 1.5” lift that settled down to about a little over an inch.

 

Do you know the point to where you should get extended brake lines? Also, what leafs do you have in the back?

 

I’m not 100% sure but I’m guessing 2” or more lift in the back. Also depends on what travel you have in the rear. Good way to test it is lift the rear up off the ground with a jack and see how much slack there is. I have the 3 AAL from Icon.

 

What setting are you running the RXT on? Looks like you got a healthy lift from the whole setup

 

@rdpoe With the RXT im running Option 2. I took out the original 3rd leaf and switched it with a thicker leaf that came with the package.

I was asking because when i was preloading it a couple of turns for some reason it started to get very hard to turn and very tight.
But as long as it didnt jump a thread

 

also just hopping in here to check it out. Currently running 5100/5160's 888's and jba uppers and dakars in the rear. had some settling and looking to eventually replace everything with kings. thanks for the reading material fellas.

 

As long as you don't loosen the bolt more than one full turn you shouldn't have a problem. Also as preload increases the force needed to turn the preload collar increases. If you spray the threads down with wd40 or something similar it will help.

 

Suggestions on how many threads should be showing. Going to be running 285/70/17 and have the rxt pack on rear
