sorry i think a lot of us just went with what was recommended and then had someone more knowledgeable or with experience install haha. I went with the bilstein trail kit from rogue offroad, 6112 front, 5160 rear, OME dakar leafs with add a leaf. I had a friend install them for me.

@DCLBFTW is probably the best resource for knowledge in the minnesota thread so he might have some tips or recommendations.

 

Im also running 6112s with 650lb 13” springs, front and 5160s, OME Dakar leafs w/top overload flipped, and bags in the rear.

But I wheel a tad more weight than damn near anyone here. So take that for what’s it worth.

 

I took my 3" diameter nFab nerf bars off, had them on for a little over 2 years. They have rust forming in the crook of some of the hoops, snow and crap really likes to collect there. A little cleanup and repaint and they will be back to new. I have the bolts but they're pretty rusty so you'd be better off using new ones.

$100, in Bemidji but will travel a reasonable distance to meet up.

 

I would like kings (watched a whole 4 hour video on their proper installation...but because $$ is things, I cannot afford it) Thanks for the input though!

 

I was looking at the ARB OME 2" Lift or the Icon Stage 2 0"-2.75" and looking to order from either BilsteinLifts.com or HeadStrong Offroad--seen in a couple of other threads that Marie there is legit.

So I would love peoples feedback on the lift and the vendor, if known.

 

Cleaning out the shed. I have a couple barely used Yakima bike racks if anyone in MN is interested. I'll never use them so very willing to negotiate or trade. Shoot me a PM.

I would go with @HeadStrong Off-Road excelant customer service. Lifts are easy to install. Get a group of friends and do a mod day. I wont advise for suspension there is too much to factor. My set up wont work for others. Depends upon what you are going to do.

But now back to planning. And waiting for a visa from russia. The trail is close to the boarder so rather play it safe than violate the travel rules with Russia.

Either the gen3 fenders are aluminum foil or she hit the truck hard, with a hard body part.

 

Any shop near Minneapolis, MN who provides Rust Eliminator/Rust proofing services? Just bought a used 2nd gen with some rust and would like to get it cleaned up and rust proofed.

Looking for recommendations on new headlights, exhaust and grille also.
