Snuck some Hella horns in behind the grill and added a flasher to the third brake light on my cap. Two quick little jobs but still a ton of fun.

I did the dirty today and sprayed 5 cans of 3M cavity wax into every cavity: doors, fender drops by the front doors, inside the tailgate, behind the flares on the front fenders, bedsides, gas door, leading edge of the bed sides, cross members, hosed the axle housing down, driveshafts. I hosed down the frame in the stuff both outer and inner and did any frame cavities.

FYI I found that my local body shop supplier had better pricing than Amazon for the cans and the wand kit

I've only had the truck for 7 months, but don't want to find out down the road that the rust protection is shit like the 1st and 2nd gens

It’s doesnt hurt, all you’re doing is adding layers on the paint. With no cure time for the butter wax it’s wipe on wipe off.

I removed and plastic dipped my rear bumper ends this week and was surprised in how much mud was still caked in the cavity even tho I pressured washed the whole rear area beneath truck. I will look into the cavity spray. Thanks for the info.

Yeah in that order! Per chemical guys... ceramic, jet seal, wax, then v07 to maintain after washes. Wait 24 hours for ceramic to cure before moving on

Wouldn't it be a better option to swap for the black SR door handles. They would hold up for many years maintenance free.

A lot has happened over the weekend. Got the OME 887 nitrocharger + dakar medium leaf pack installed. Also put the ecgs bushing in for peace of mind. Then I put on 255 85 16 KM2s. First pic is lift with stock tires. I went with 887 instead of 888 because I didn't want the possibility of having to get new UCAs. I also don't actually care that much about amount of lift, I just wanted the dakar leaf packs for towing and payload (I'll be doing a cross country move soon). I went with 255s with stock wheels because they look awesome and they give you the greatest chance of not having to do any trimming or molding. I firmly believe 255s with 887s is the most trouble free way to lift your truck. No problems yet *knock on wood*. Special thanks to @HeadStrong Off-Road for providing the easiest and most complete package to do the lift.

Since my last post I added a China TRD pro grill, Pace Edwards Switchblade, and XenonDepot HID kit, and a Scangauge II. No complaints about anything.

I don't know my lift numbers, don't really care, just wanted it higher lol. The dakar leaf packs were important to me as I tow a lot. Everything else is gravy. I don't get any driveline vibrations. By my calculations, the cb drop kit OME has should alleviate any disruption of stock driveline angles a 2-3 inch lift induces. You shouldn't need rear shims either as the reciprocating angles between the rear shaft to cb and rear shaft to rear diff shouldn't change. I myself just installed the cb drop and didn't encounter any vibrations.

Skinnies look nice. I'll probably throw on spydertrax spacers to widen the stance. The steering is definitely more loose, maybe because of decreased width. Nothing concerning. They do have road noise, like a whine especially at highway speeds. I drove a POS 1993 Nissan Sentra for 4 years. Noise doesn't bother me but something to consider.

I tried plastidip first and didn't like how the turned out. So I wrapped them. I believe the Sr swap doesn't have the smart feature

I don't believe the smart feature is on the SR5 model.

Did plasti dip just look bad? Did u come off easily because of always touching the door handles?

Nice! You should hold off on the re-install of the decal.
It will more than likely get messed up over time and need to be redone anyway, so why waste the decal.

I tried spraying one on the truck and it didn't look smooth because of the angle of spraying it. So If I was going to take them off I think wrapping was better option.
