    Toyota should've known that a turbo was going to be installed there. No idea why they'd so stupidly locate an ABS pump in that spot!

    What does it sound like? Having no spare, I've been looking at other options to make the truck more silent.

    Not my fault the Toyota has such horrible resale value!

    Actually 2.25 to 2.5".
    I know I was going the wrong direction but wanted to test it out. I might get some 2.25 to 2" transitions to swap out just to see what it does.
    It sounds way different but I need to drive it more to see how I like it.
    It's very quiet at idle but now the exhaust resonant frequency is moved up the rpm range from around 1200-1400 (resonant frequencies reoccur at every multiple of 2), to around 2000 rpm. This I think is due mainly to having mostly dual smaller pipes as generally speaking smaller diameter tubes have a higher natural resonant frequency.

    Testing continues.....after I pack/ship @JacksonTacoma's y-pipe.

    Not too bad considering where most people's cruising RPM is. At least from what I remember.

    Hey @Roostfactor or anyone else, do you have a rough measurement for where the v-band flange will be in relation to the factory connection? Since I got my headers installed I want to start playing with muffler/resonator combos, but I want to make sure I don’t have something mounted where I will need to cut for the flange.

    I’m pretty sure as long as it doesn’t have reinforced underside between the skid and the trans pan, you should be fine.

    You know that feeling you get when you know you should probably take measurements of everything before taking something off? Yep, that is what happened here! I just took off my original y-pipe so I don't have an exact measurement.
    It is roughly 14" from the rear of the transmission crossmember but someone else can measure theirs to double check and to be more precise.

    Yeah just give an inch or so minimum on either side.

    Keep in mind anything you mess with now will sound totally different when you install the JFR y-pipe.

    I was really surprised how quiet it is. I was expecting a little more noise honestly. It’s so much smoother, it feels more quiet than stock. The added umph is nice though.
