Fenders look sic! How much cutting are you going to have to do to your firewall to fit the 35’s?

I’m probably going to cut out about 1.5-2” out of the corner. Looks like that’s about the norm for what people do. Will be interested to see how noticeable it is from inside the cab.

It’s been a slow going process but the front is almost done. Just gotta paint and seam seal the bare metal. Then on to the bedsides and rear tire swing out.

so the bedsides are a little more of a pain in the ass than I originally thought. I cant see any of the spot welds on the inner lip of the bedside because of the LineX spray, making drilling them out really hard. I ended up cutting the bedside off just below the top lip and pealing the top lip off, one spot weld at a time. First bedside is off, Trying to figure out how im going to reinforce the bedside since I will still be running my topper and tent. I have some 3/8 angle iron I may be using to fab up some additional support. I will add some pics soon.

2 coats of por15, seam sealer, and 2 coats of undercoating. Front end is done. I think I may just end up sending the truck to a shop for the gears while I work on the bed. Hope to have this complete in the next two weeks.

Had some weird brake issues that turned out to be a bunch of air in the system. Seems to be fixed now I hope. Truck is going to a shop Monday for the 4.88 install. Should be back by the 17th.

In the meantime, I have the bed off and on saw horses. Plan is to reinforce the top of the bedside with some angle iron in between the bed and fiberglass. I hope this will provide enough strength for the Can-Back and RTT.

Also custom making a snorkel that will work with the new fiberglass fenders.

Well it’s been a long couple of weeks but it’s finally done. I reinforced the bed rails with angle iron and then tied them into the bed frame. Laid down 2 coats of por15, seam sealer, etching primer, and 2 coats of undercoating. Also revisited the rear frame since I had the bed off.

Tomorrow I’m going to fab up a custom snorkel and head off to the woods for a weekend camping trip.

After this weekends trip I’m going to try and see if I can use my stock gas door on the bedsides. I will also be fabing up that tire carrier swing out as my rear bumper.

What were the final specs on your pro comp and 33x10.5 wheel and tire set up? That made me hot and bothered.

What wheels are these? These look slightly different than pro comp 51s. These are the wheels I'm referring to in the above post. I'm in love.

Never ended up with pro cop wheels because the offset rubs the calipers. The wheels pictures were bought off craigslist and then powder coated. I’m not 100% sure but I think they look like an old set of American racing outlaw 2s.

The American Racing wheels fit well though? I just looked them up, and you were right, they are outlaws 2s.

Yeah the rims fit great, mine were 4.5” back spacing and 15x8. Only went with a larger rim to aid in balancing the tires when I went to 35s.
