Also, first brown of the season. We were fishing a creek I could’ve jumped across in some areas. Small, but still a brown.

Live on fresh water just sold a triton Tr21x went back to my stick steer 16 foot pan fish tracker and we bought the tacoma for a beach truck. Have not gone fishing yet with it still putting the LUKE to it, smittybilt awning at the house ready to install will be running a 10x10 off the back of the truck. Music, cold beer, and a day at the beach. GF will fish some in the fresh water boat her thing is hanging out at the beach don't care for surf fishing I enjoy fishing anything, anywhere anyhow. LOL
Ill post some photos of the custom pan fish tracker. Holds 30 rods, put enough HP on it I can side, thats fun, kinda like drifting with a boat, and we are under cover with some umbrellas I mount to the back of the seat. Have a blast dolling that boat up.
Crickets and brim busters are my fresh water favorate and a fly rod with a popping bug on it.
Did the Fountain offshore thing for a while, till Obama about cut all our fishing out in NC sold the big boat bought the Triton and now back to easy cheap fishing.

You said you had a Triton 21... Did you use the Taco to pull it? If so, how did it do?

That’s my dream boat (maybe a Triton 19 instead, not sure yet).

You can see it beside my little boat in the picture to the right. Yellow and black just over top of the Mercery motor.
We bought the Tacoma for the beach. I have a dodge 3500 Tacoma is the GFs I'm just having a blast fixing it up. . I honestly think the Tacoma could pull the 21 Triton . Might not do a good job at 85 mph but 65 I think you would be fine. . Had a 250 on it. I'll see if I can find some more photos.
Found a couple. The 17 will be faster. I could hit 68 with the 21 but it handles rough water better and were on the Sound by the Outerbanks so it was a nice boat for rough water.

Mixed luck this morning, lost a few good ones, hooked a few unwanted gar and baby channel cats. Hooked 3 gar, 3 cats (1 three pounder), 2 bream, 1 crappie. These were the keepers.

People do eat them but I have never personally. I understand they're not so great because people who eat them usually grind the meat up and season it and fry it as "gar balls".

they are similar in body style to northern pike. Which are really good...just curious. I never caught one when I was in texas but did see them...just wasnt really a good fisherman at that point...
