    Hey guys...

I have a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 SR5 waiting for me at my local Toyota. I want to get a set of black wheels for it...my first choice are American Racing Predators. They are 16" and 6x5.5 bolt pattern. The 5.5 concerns me as they may rub controls arms if I understand it correctly. Does anyone here have wheels with a backspace of 5.5 on their trucks? I am definitely going with a set of Bilstein 5100s up front to at least level the truck (set at 1.75") if that makes a difference.

Second, I have an old set of steel wheels from my 03 Tacoma 4x4 I use in the winter. I am not sure the BS but they are 15". Will those wheels fit ok on an 07?

    Thanks

The 6x5.5 bolt pattern has nothing to do with back spacing. That is the lug nut spacing. The backspacing on those rims is actually 4.5". Predators

Those steel rims look awesome. I'm impressed with how much better they look. I know yours are 16 but I should get away with 15s for winter and not have a problem with fit.

After an hour of reading on the net, I learned the difference after, ie 5.5 is not the BS number in 6x5.5 Sorry for the confusion

i had trouble fitting a 16 on my truck.. the back spacing is 4.5 but still had to do some grinding on the calibers to make it work.. would have sent the tires back and just waited but ohh well... no 15 inch wheel will not work on the 2nd gens

Apparently I found out after the hub bore on those wheels won't fit a Tacoma. That sucks because they are a beautiful wheel.
