I have a 2007 Tacoma TRD with some rust on the chrome bumper that is beyond a quick fix. I was thinking about either 1 Sanding and refinishing it in black since I'm changing all the chrome to black (never was a chrome guy) or picking up a black bumper up at a scrap yard. If I get a replacement, will any trim style work as long as it's 2nd Gen?

Most everyone on here will tell you to get a steel bumper, but yes, all OEM bumpers are the same size/measurements

Just replaced the rear bumper on my '08. Less than $100 to my door from @RockAuto. Not worth pissin' with the salvage yards unless you find a clean take-off.

How about having a local shop do black bed liner on the one you have?

That was my plan if I was going to black it out, to pull it off, clean it and but some rust remover on the the bad stuff and put spray on liner on it. Had a friend do it with pretty good results.
