Any aligmment pros in here? I need to try and dial in my 3rd gen and squeeze every ounce of room between the tire and firewall.

Align your tires or align your firewall? Cause I can fix the firewall...

alignment of tires - Fenders & CMC already chopped back by @EatSleepTacos about as far as they can go. I need to push the lower control arm as far forward as I can to give that last bit of clearance when at full lock or compressed - but I know that's gonna screw my alignment up something fierce, and was hoping someone with some know-how could assist in order to keep the alignment as close to factory specs as possible while still getting the additional clearance I need.

Take it to shop and give them these instructions (they might balk and request more pay for a "special alignment" but its BS. This is easier than a "regular alignment").

1: Adjust the lower control arm to max caster, pushing the lower ball joint as far forwards as they can (generally you want offset caster so if you fall asleep the truck pulls you off the road not into on-coming traffic but thats up to you)
2: Adjust the upper control arm to fix the camber
3: Torque the upper control arm nut to SPC specs (look it up, I forgot - I've always asked for 150ft/lbs)
    4: Adjust toe as usual

    To diy,
Jack up the truck and loosen both bolts on the LCA.
Push the forward LCA inwards towards your engine and pull the rear of your LCA outwards.

I don't know how to do Camber as I believe camber has to be done with the wheel at ride location?

If your brave, I would try jacking up your LCA until your wheel is sitting in your wheel well at ride height and loosen the UCA nut but do not remove. The bolt should fall outwards. Tighten it so you can adjust it with some force but is not free moving. Using a level, slowly push the upper ball joint inwards (a dead blow might be of help here) until the wheels are level.

    Good luck.

Anyone need a full set of weather techs for a 5th gen 4runner? Practically brand new, looking to make someone a deal.

Also  I have applied at Newport News like 4 times already and still nothing.

Eventually I’m gonna have to move up with y’all but trying to land a job first is proving difficult :frusty:

$200 and would rather not ship right now as it would be quite difficult to source a box to fit them in.

I need to get @EatSleepTacos to do mine as well. I remember talking to him about it before he moved down. I'm gonna need it even moreso now as I'm starting to get the itch to up it to 35's.

He did a great job on my 3rd Gen - just got mine aligned today and I have VERY minimal rubbing when at full lock in reverse

First or second weekend in August I’ll be heading to flagpole knob. For those unfamiliar it’s 3.5 hours from here in the george Washington national forest. We ride a trail up to the top (not super long or hard) and camp up there, then come back home on Sunday. If you want to join I’ll be meeting up with my northern va peeps as well, so we’ll likely have a group of 5-6 trucks

If we do an early Friday departure I can probably make it. I can't do Sunday though, I'd have to return Saturday.

sounds like a good trip... now to convince my pregnant wife about this idea, but there's merit to going with other vehicles for safety/recovery and that alone probably will help!

I have to work Friday so that’s a no go for me. But this certainly won’t be my first trip, and I’ll be sure to invite others. I try and go once every month or two. Just got back from uwharrie NC this past weekend.

Oh man, I definitely need to go next time. If I’m feeling frisky maybe I’ll build and bring a mini flex ramp to park on. I think that’d be cool.
