    I download the trails I'm going to run before going out. That requires internet. Once you're out, the map uses GPS to show where you are, but can get funky due to lack of cell signal. Having a navigator follow along with the book is a great way to really keep tabs on where you are and follow the mile markers.

    Welp, I think I'm all set, I'll only know by doing it. I have a two day buffer now if things take longer or I get side tracked. The only thing I don't have is backup communication but I'm not too worried about that as mostly I'll be in well traveled areas.

    Was thinking of getting a CB for close quarter communication but haven't had the time to research properly.
