    Is that to me?

    All listed are 4X4.

    Need suggestions
I've done some traveling out west, if AZ is anything like cali, everyone and their mother has a taco. People out west drive toyotas a ton more than on the east coast ime, which i'm assuming makes the market for them more competitive. Chrysler products are generally junk which is why they are cheap, I've driven a few rams, and while the power of the big horn edition is nice, I cant get past drive by wire and that doinky gear shifter knob. Also being in the desert, pre runners/2WD make more sense, which would explain more of them being for sale. The trade off might be looking for a Pre runner TRD offroad, this at least gives you a rear locking diff, which could be arguably similar to my 4WD truck with open diffs. Doesnt sound like you need 4WD in arizona is you don't wheel it, but you would definitely want it in the NE.

YOu wont be saving any money on the swap. The Ram depreciates like a falling aestroid and the Tacoma will be top dollar. If the main reason you want a Taco is due to the size, then go for it, you only live once.

ZEro chance I would drive half way across the country to buy a 20K truck. There are plenty of Tacomas with good frames in the northeast.

    Agreed.

Take the hit now and be done with it. OP’s RAM is worth more today than it will be tomorrow.

He's moving to Arizona, not going there just to buy a truck.

    Too few to list.
Welcome to the site. Your budget is low for a 4x4. I just replied to another thread with someone looking at a 2010 double cab long bed 4x4 sport @ 93K miles and the dealer price is $18.5K. If you bump your budget up another $5K to $17K-$18K then you'll be in the ball park. Avoid 05-06 and 2012 models and inspect the frame.

I'm in Maryland and I bought my 2009 SR5 V6 4x4 with only 59,000 miles for 19k almost 2 years ago. Dealer was asking 21k but I talked them down a bit. Frame is good

Op, just so you know... The Tacoma won't get better mileage than the Ram - just the opposite...

I'm not really worried about the ram, running.. but I doubt itd outlast a Toyota.. I also dont really care about mpgs. The Ram does exceptionally well as I average 18-19.5.. I also drive like a grandpa. As long as its similar I'm ok with it..

I found an 07 dcsb with a 120k listed for 12k with a new frame.. anything I should look for?

Might want to search the 2nd Gen forum for frame replacement stories. Some folks report excellent service, others have missing bolts, brackets,,,

Ask the seller if they had any issues. Find out who did it and their reputation.

A little off topic....I'm a fellow truck driver myself. Do you have something set up out here already? Are you transferring? Just curious. I'm a LTL P&D driver in Phoenix.

My vote is if you can find a good frame back there then get it.

I think you will be disappointed. The 2nd Tacoma is a basic box with wheels, gets worse gas mileage, slower, and rides worse.
