Heard it gets better gas mileage because computer tuns engine off every time when at stop lights or stopped.:rofl:Ridiculous. That 4 cyl will be lucky to see 7 years.
Of course if your stopped at a light for 3 years make it 10 lol.

You can turn that feature off, but like our ECT button, it resets at every key cycle. I bet someone has made a module to keep it off. But, yea, I had a rental car with that feature, I couldn't help but wonder when the starter was going to die. I really wonder if the gas savings outweigh the wear and tear of starting and stopping multiple times daily.

My wife's new Highlander has that shit and there is a button, but sometimes I forget to turn it off, drives me crazy. Too new for anyone to have modded it maybe, but I damn sure would like it to be permanently disabled. Maybe when I find Highlander World, I'll check there.....:)

I am not endorsing this and not telling you to buy this, but look.

I'm not a ford guy but the 08 F250 I had with the 5.4 triton was solid minus the spark plug issue. That said I dislike fords and have always proffered GM and Chrysler, but that changed after owning a 98 blazer. I'm sure its a great truck, is it drive by wire? I'm thankful its body of frame at least.

I just don’t know why they are going with the turbo 4 cylinder route that Toyota abandoned for the V6 as the only option. Maybe they want to be the Subaru WRX of pickups?

I made the a huge mistake when I purchase a 2012 Ford Focus for my fiance...this vehicle was purchased new in August 2012.The transmission is disaster.Ford refuses to recall it.Several deaths have occurred because of it failing. The warranty was extended to 7 years or 100,000 miles instead of recalling it.FORD would rather pay off the lawsuits than repair a known design flaw and defective parts. NEVER BUY A FORD PRODUCT.

the driveshaft center bearing in my F150 worktruck went bad last year. Oh ok, I'll crawl under the truck and replace it. WRONG. The bearing cannot be replaced. You have the replace half of the drive shaft
WTF?! Who designs a vehicle like this?!

The truck is a 2009, so imagine all of the other non-replaceable bullshit the brand new 2020 ranger will have...

Ugh, went to Austin in July a few years ago and rented a Malibu I think (it was during the time they banned Uber). It had that idiotic start/stop feature. I tried to find how to turn it off, but no luck.

Nothing more exciting than being in city traffic, stop and go, with your car having to stutter to life every... single... time. Also pretty great to be sitting in a car while it’s 110 outside and have the AC cut to 1/4 power every time the engine cuts off.... what a dumb idea.

There is a over-ride button you can press after starting that disables the engine stop feature.

This is the tail end of the current Ranger as it has been overseas for years now. I imagine if sales of current Ranger are good that Ford will redesign one meant more for the American market. Re-sale of current Ranger will be hurt if that comes true. Re-sale of Tacoma is strong no matter what & that is why I bought one. Is it the best of the bunch, IDK but I was tired of loosing my ass on re-sale value of previous vehicles.

I have to kindly disagree. The EPA mileage is not true mileage. Anyone with a turbo knows that the lab testing isn't how people drive. My friend gets about 14 MPG in a Ecoboost 3.5L F150 when the EPA is like 22. As far as better engine: turboing a 4 to act like a small 8 or medium 6 is just flat out beating the engine up. It won't last much over 100K miles but that doesn't seem to bother many. If you buy a new truck every 3-5 years then kick the problem to the next owner.

Someone got trigger happy on the grill with the clone tool copy/paste!

Also...since it's a Chevy, none of those driving lights will work after a month or so.
