Palomar Mt is not super worth the trip from orange county for me... but depending on who all wants to go we will keep it in mind. We also aren't for sure if it is even open yet...

You gotta get as many runs in while you can dude! You got some responsibility heading your way lol

I agree with this ^ I do like some technical stuff :) Ive been wanting to do gold mtn ever since we did white mountain a little bit ago... Have you done the trail? I haven't and would be much more comfortable with someone leading that has.

    Same !!

I think Big Bear would be a great spot to do some trails and is almost the same traveling distance for all of us.

How technical are you okay with doing? I see you have 4x4 so would a 4x4 only trail be okay as long as it's not rock crawling, or prefer forest/service roads kind of trails?

The only moderately technical 4x4 trail up in Big Bear I know of is White Mountain, the rest (Gold Mtn, Largo Flats, Holcomb Creek, John Bull, etc.) are all on the 'advanced' end of the spectrum.

Heartbreak Ridge is a fun one that starts out near Yuma out in the desert and ends up in Big Bear. But it has a few technical spots. I put it on par with White Mountain though I've only done it once and it was pretty snowy

Yea, I don't mind a 4x4 trail or some rock crawling. My truck is not made for crazy rock crawling stuff like some of the guys on here enjoy. My current setup is maybe .5" lift over stock height, 33" tires and sliders, no other armor. I did the San Gorgonio run 2 years ago with the TW crew, forogt which trail it was but that was fun. Had a small technical section but we got through it. Maybe @eccracer104 can tell me which trail that was?

I might have been at that same meet, I went to one of those San Gorgonio runs either 2 or 3 years ago, I don't remember which...but yeah that was a big group of TW members and a lot of different style trails being done lol.

I know Jacoby Canyon is a popular one up there for the 2wd guys and the 4x4s that want to take it easy, but I think Jacoby has been closed down for the past couple of years after a fire over there...but I could be wrong

Heartbreak ridge would be pretty fun and easy enough to do for everyone with 4X4...

yeah I agree, without any snow there it should be even easier than I remember it being from earlier this year.

There is one section of the trail at the beginning that is a little hairy and will cause contact with front IFS skid and require some careful spotting for those that don't have sliders and/or a rear locker, but still very doable. That was the only truly 'technical' spot I remember of that trail.

This is quickly turning into a run where we finesse you into leading another trail . we're going to have to rename the thread to "Ryan's Wild Adventure Tours".

I'm super down for HB ridge this sunday though

haha sounds good, I'm not 100% sure I can this weekend yet but hopefully will know in the next couple of days.

I'm up for anything really so it doesn't have to be Heartbreak if someone would rather do something different. Got MJT to look forward to for something technical in a few weeks

I always make @oni06 pull the stuck trucks :ballchain::luvya:

Pulling someone on a hill with a manual trans isn't very fun unless you like the smell of burnt clutch

not particularly, no...especially knowing how time consuming and/or expensive a clutch job is.

Although I am looking forward to getting a heavier duty Marlin clutch next time I need one, but hopefully that isn't for awhile yet
