    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

    More questions... lol

Will the Auto Trans in a 93 T4R bolt up to a 5vz-fe? I think the 93 would have an A340H the 5vz-fe would be paired with an A340F (in 4x application) not sure if the bellhousings are the same.

Also, what is a good donor for a Solid axle swap? Not even sure where/what I'd be looking for.

As far as axle, it all depends on what tcase you use. Pre tacoma tcase works perfect with 79-85 toyota front axle, 95+ you would need danas. You can buy adapters to mount older tcases to newer trans. I prefer toyota front axles as you can make all the internals strong enough to run 40s reliably. They are narrower than ifs rears but you just run spacers up front. If you want to spend some more money but stick with toyota internals you can run Ruffstuff,TG, or Diamond housings with custom length axle shafts.

You can also find danas with either side drop, but you are going to be cutting them down which can add some work.

I run pre 95 v6 thirds front and rear. Then if I blow a rear I can swap the front in and still drive back home or to the trailer.

As far as donor parts, all you need is a complete front axle. You will then have to buy steering, springs, shocks, shock towers, hangers, brake lines, and a ton of cutoff/grinding wheels and a welder.

Build a sq tube front shaft to save some money.

Then you will need longfields, cryod hub gears, trunnion eliminator, hub studs, and a few other small things to run 35s and never have a breakage in the front end.

Just saw you guys coming down 108.

I was headed back from the bay.

Saw you this morning but was in a rush to get my wife to the airport so I didn’t swing in at the Raileys.

Yea, but it seems to be running lean
I need a air fuel ratio gauge and boost gauge to start figuring out tuning

Another epic day in Stanislaus National Forest with @Pella and @Papadave418

    Clavey River Bridge
Then we headed to the spot @CalTacoma09 @Sharkfrog @rob1208 and I decided not to go to last weekend. (Where we talked to that couple on the ATV)... He was right... absolutely not getting across with the river where it is. But found an OUTSTANDING place to camp... and a cool trail to run to get there. (no way I'm calling it a road).

    Then on towards Bourland Meadows.

Made it within less than a mile to Bourland Meadows... But a large tree and snow drifts kept us out.

So we headed to Bourland Tressel

And then headed back to the rat race.

The place we found today, down by the river, would make an awesome spot for a TW camping trip. I bet we could fit 10 or more trucks in the clearing by the river. The road down to it is pretty fun too.

Taco’s in their natural habitat. It was great to see them in the wild. It’s amazing that this rarity be captured on film.

I have pics of the trestle when you could still walk across it in the 80s. I will see if I can dig them up. My Grandpa lived in a camp there with the other loggers back in the olden days.
