i saw a white Tacoma on the dealer lot last time i was there
the letters were black, maybe painted in? it really stood out from a distance like the old style tailgates of decades ago did
is that an option on the new ones or just on certain trim levels?

I have raised letters that attach with 3M tape. I had vinyl on my 16 Tacoma.

Not sure if it’s the same one @G.T. was referring to the other day, but there is a thread called something along the lines of “Ultimate Headlight Mod.” I have it bookmarked on the computer at home, but sadly, I’m here on the phone getting an alignment done.

In other news, the aging truck keeps on revealing gifts. Wheel bearing front driver is about shot, and front passenger isn’t far behind. Though it should be about that time I suppose. Now I’m scrambling to see if I’m gonna work tomorrow, or hang out at the shop until they can get new ones on...

Curious on the BP-51's. Do they provide any kind of tuning guide to set up the compression and rebound damping?

 

They do, to an extent. They go through how it's done and give some "symptoms" and "remedies" for circumstances needing more or less compression/rebound. There are a couple pages about compression and a couple about rebound in the owners manual.

Think it sits directly on top of the frame horn.

 

Yes. Mounts off of sway bar bracket position and the resi sits atop the frame just on the inside of the splash guard.
