Get some interior cleaner and a soft bristle brush. I assume you have light colored seats? Might want to think about seat covers..

For the preapplied 3m coatings - once they st and rt to yellow or get dirt around the perimeter - do you all just remove and reapply new? Truck is all clean and white cept those yellow vinyl areas haha.

Yes, it’s time to reapply them if you want to go back with a PPF. Use caution with removing as some have had bad luck removing them.

Does anyone have any tips on darkening or restoring a truck bed liner?

Mine doesn't have any real physical damage (just a few chips here and there) but it's a bit lighter than it was 15 years ago and it's more noticeable on a black truck.

I've seen suggestions on using 303 or a trim restorer but have also heard that these don't last very long and for something the size of the bed I'm hoping to avoid putting a new layer on every few months.

I used a heat gun on my wife's trim and it worked great.

The blackest of the black trim restorers is supposed to be Solution Finish. I hear it will last 6 months to a year. You could always a apply a trim protectant product after. But I would be going with something CarPro PERL for exterior. Save the 303 for inside, where it's out of the weather.

Autogeek and Autopia forums, I've just never seen a better one mentioned. Now a trim protectorant, sealant or wheel cleaner sure you're going to get MANY answers on "best" product. Here is a review of it from one of the better detailing channels:

I would not go that route. I did that once and it turned out super blotchy. Doing a whole bed would be a pain in the ass.

Can't believe I left that one out. I haven't tried it but have read endless good things and my detailing buddy says it's really good, but he has switched to shine supply for most of his jobs. I think the bedliner would be am ideal place for solutions finish though

    Thanks for all the feedback.

I had previously put some Chemical Guys VRP on a small section of the bed rail; it got a little darker but not much and I doubt it'll last long.

In view of the recommendations and cost I'll probably start with some Solution Finish and see how that goes.

Other than their maxisuds2 soap , I haven't been impressed with many CG products. They have like 8 very similar or same products for the same task....for every detailing task. Seem more interested in scents and cool labels than quality products. I'm sure they make several good things but from what I have used, it's a lot of hype and trendy.
I hope the solutions works out well. Idk if anything will last more than a few months, but this is worth a shot

Yeah, they've definitely got way more product options than they need. A relative gave me a bottle so I tested it on the bed while I was working on the rest of the trim. It seems to remoisturize trim like other restorers but I'm interested to see how the actual pigmentation in Solution Finish works in person.

Is there a product or technique that can fix this? Pretty much every section of weather stripping on my truck looks like this.

I use a rubber cleaner to clean mine. I haven't found anything to keep it from coming back.
