Great photo, but sorry you’ve got to deal with that already. We’ve actually gotten some smoke coming down from up there. I heard it was from fires in Alberta but usually the winds don’t come from that far East.

I moved from Los Angeles 2 years ago. Still miss it sometimes.

This is what I see now: North Cascades, WA, yesterday.

You live in such a beautiful place as the PNW and you miss the hell hole that is Los Angeles?? How??

I can't wait to get out of here personally, wife and I are looking at the PNW as we both lived there when we were kids (me in OR and she was in WA).

Great shots btw, I was just up near Cannon Beach, OR this past week. Drove around and hiked through the Tilamook Forest, so incredibly beautiful up there

Oh don’t get me wrong, I LOVE it up hear. But is impossible not miss LA’s hustle and bustle, the variety of excellent restaurants, the diversity of the geography, the relative proximity to world-class off-roading, the perfect weather and the beautiful beaches.

I can understand that, although the hustle and bustle is what I want to get away from the most lol. Well, that and the crazy cost of living. And the hot weather.

I will miss the offroading though, that's one thing CA has an abundance and wide variety of that many states do not (especially out east).

Seems like there's a lot of it up in the PNW though, and my favorite kind too...mountain/forest.

I miss LA’s dynamism, not its traffic and congestion.

Be careful what you wish for, though. Portland and Seattle’s traffic, congestion and cost of living are getting close to LA’s.

And the off-roading here, while a lot closer to the city, is not as challenging, as diverse or as dramatic. And it can be inaccesible for half the year.

I still have to check out the off-roading east of the Cascades. I hear there’s a lot more out there...and fewer people on the trails.

these are some nice shots. You could really pull some detail out of these if you adjust your highlight and shadow values. If you shot in raw that is. ;)
