Question about caliraised lower bumper light bar

For the people that have installed this bumper light bar, do I need to worry about my radiator getting hotter because it requires removal of these plastic channels on both side of the grill that helps air flow into the radiator. I was about to install it, but am hesitant after finding out about it.

 

If I remember correctly, My instructions said cut to fit.

 

I didn't see any instructions in my order. I watched their install video and they said removal of those two pieces were required

Mine came with no instructions but I removed my ducts. I'm sure it aided in a few degrees cooler on the freeway but I doubt it's gonna cause any issues

 

I've had no issues. Everyone took their's out complete. You have to cut almost the entire lower half off.

 

Trimmed them on my bandsaw. No issues.

When I installed my bumper, it said to pull those, I opted not to and decided to trim. Especially in AZ.

 

Threw mine away. Its snowing at my place right now so I am not to worried.

I trimmed mine with a dremel. Super easy and no difference in operating temps. It’s a very small section that you cut out

 

I had to do a lot more cutting then I had expected. While I was trimming the air channels, a piece of plastic flew right into my eye when I was using the dremmel. My idiot self did not bother to put on safety glasses and it was painful. Thankfully there was no blood and I can still see. It was also such a pain in the ass trying to line up the bolt to the light bar's bolt hole even though I gave both brackets plenty of slack. I probably spent at least 40 minutes trying to find the hole. I just need to do the wiring now.
