I can feel it since I stopped eating keto.. need to get back on it again and get down to the new goal weight. I reached and have stayed at the orginal goal. But time.to shift it back downwards a bit. The blood pressure will like it too

My doc did a full panel not long ago and was completely shocked when I explained my good results with high fat red meat lol. If it wasn’t for how good I feel I don’t know that I could stick with it but it works so well for me.

Should.have waited, then you know the burgers where fresh and have not been sitting around.

My old boss would always insist they cook his fresh, claims it made a difference in taste.

Yup, I got busted by my wife one morning. I got out of bed and was popping and groining. She looked at me and asked what I had eaten the night before, I had to tell her I had 4 tacos and a big red lol. It may not be for everyone but my overall health is much better avoiding all carbs and any kind of fiber.

To illustrate, I just got to the hotel for this hitch. Here is eight days worth of dinners and a couple snacks. I try to only eat in an 8 hour window as well, so I get a 16 hour fast every night.

The sausages and bacon get chopped up and fried then mixed in ground meat. I then make patty’s out of it. It changes the flavor and texture and I can rotate around so I don’t get tired of a flavor, plus it adds the extra fat I need.... well that and the three sticks of kerrygold not pictured

I can be happy just eating bacon+red meat+cheese. Beer and whiskey on occasion.

Speaking of which, my fridge is set to 38 because of it's method in maintaining temperature, and crap my beers are cold. I just raided my fridge because the house ran out and my arm hurts from the temperature lol

@riz_atx when solo camping, do you meal plan? How did you deal with things that need freezing but you only have a single zone?

I do still have a few brews every other weekend when I’m off, but if I go over a six pack there’s hell to pay.

i started shooting for 16 hour fasts. How does coffee calculate into that? Do you include it as breaking your fast, or accelerating your metabolism?

I’ve always heard as long as it’s black it doesn’t break it, if it does then I’m not fasting either. I generally have a pot or so every morning, eat a light lunch around 1300, then 2-2.5 lbs of meat around 1800.

That's what I'm easing into. So far breaking the fast with a light low-carb lunch, and whatever the wife makes for dinner. I'm trying to not increase her load as she's primarily cooking, but she's down for low carb. The problem is she makes whatever the kiddo wants, so I'm sticking to low carb regardless.

Yeah, we feed the kids a standard diet as well, makes it hard to pass up some things when they are right it front of you. About 65-70 percent of my diet is ground chuck. Patties are boring but they get the job done, and they are quick.
