    Irish moss. I added Irish moss to the last brew I did and it had some serious chill haze. For whatever reason, this time it worked really well.

    That stuff looks very interesting. I had never heard of it. I’m sure there is a cost premium over Irish moss or Whirlfloc of course.

    Painting is done. Dinner is over. I decided to crack open my last bottle of Imperial Cold Mountain spiced ale. Highland does a 3 day release of this beer every November and it is always a different recipe. I had intentions of saving this bottle until this years release to compare them, but @Cativelense got me craving a spiced ale after posting one the other day.

    I'm never super sure how I feel about them. I feel like they're a very traditional tasting sour brewery, but that's not to say they're my favorite. Others amp up the fruit flavors and clean up the flavor profile, but they don't taste like true sour beer sometimes. I also wasn't sure which one I was having since they don't do taster cards and I have a terrible memory...

    Sounds like it's time to step away from the keyboard and enjoy a pour. For me Barleywines and Wee Heavy's do the trick. Something about that warm finish just has a calming effect on me.

    The BL Red Eye November was excellent! Digging the rye, molasses, and coffee flavors... They really balanced well with each other!

    The Epic Big Bad Baptist, pretty terrible. Infected bottle I believe - very sour, kinda rotten oak taste... Nothing like the BBB I had on tap last year. I sent Epic an email, we’ll see what they say.
