If you're putting duals in your rig you shouldn't need a write-up. All the info is there. Scattered across the net in various build threads. Do what the rest of us did and keep on searching until you're sure you have it figured out. It seems daunting at first. Which is why not that many people end up going ahead with the single best mod you can do for your truck if you wheel hard. I'll give you what I bookmarked to make it a pretty painless procedure. My rig is a 97 4Runner so YMMV.

As an added bonus if you search my username on T4R.org you'll find my Trails and BS thread. In that is a pic by pic of installing duals in my rig. As another added bonus mines built with TG adapters that took less than a week to recieve and cost less then half of the famed Tacobox. I've wheeled the shit out of my duals and they are still going strong. Just breathe and get the thing installed. lol

You have a valid point there lol.

I don’t know. I looked at all of the parts tonight. I’m fairly certain that I have it figured out. It doesn’t seem like a lot to ask to have something in writing to confirm this, however.

The fab work is easy. I just want to make sure I get everything put together properly. That’s all.

    Sweet. I appreciate that.

However, I don’t need a write up. I just want to verify that the pieces are put together properly. I just figured, lacking any guidance from the manufacturer, a write up would contain that info.

    OK. Here's what I did.

I got all the parts and pieces.
I purchased a used stock chain drive t-case.
    I dry fit everything to make sure I had 2wd, 4wd, 2wd lo, 4wd lo, 2wd lo/lo and 4wd lo/lo working.
Once I was sure that my bench test was bomber I called Tom Woods and had shafts made. 8.5" longer for the front, 8.5" shorter for the rear. I went double cardon on both.
I took it all apart and RTV'd the shit out of everything on the bench.
I pulled my old t-case and shafts.
I installed the new t-case and crawlbox while putting a metric shit ton of Ultra Grey RTV on the spline coupler. It helps it slide in easier and it prevents your trans leaking into your crawl box.
I bolted everything down to torque spec using the factory torque for the t-case to trans.
I cut a hole in my floor boards to allow enough room for the shifter work.
I finished the shifter work and called it a day.
Next day I bolted in the shafts, filled the t-case and crawl box up.
I backed out of my driveway really slow with a huge fucking grin on my face.

See? RTV on the spline coupler. That I didn’t know.

I love working on cars / trucks. Always have. I love welding and making things.

I do not, however, profess to know everything.

And, I’m sorry, but this whole “if you have to ask, you shouldn’t be doing it” thing I see on here all the time is horse shit.

I'd agree with that. But it's still fun if your the guy that's already done it. That's not a jab man. That's me telling you it's super simple and there's only three real things you have to worry about. One is bench testing it. Two is RTV the spline coupler. Three is getting a bomber mount. Check both my build thread and the crawlbox BS thread for how to do it right. Use your existing crossmember and don't buy some pre-fabbed POS that everyone and there brother has had to highly modify to not loose ground clearance.

Just keep in mind finding info on the Atlas install will be a lot harder then finding info on a Tacobox or TG. You literally have to cut the shit out of your floor. Make a new tunnel. New seat mounts. Atlas are bad ass but there's a reason not a lot of guys with Toyo's run them. If you're serious give Wyatt at Rock Solid a call. He's a wealth of info.

I appreciate that, and it was also not a jab at you. I just see it a lot. That’s all.

I’ve already spoken to Wyatt about the Atlas install actually. That guy is awesome.

I actually enjoy the fab work. I only wanted to know how all of the pieces fit together. Is that too much to ask? Lol

To give you an idea of how great of a guy he truly is. Last year I was thinking of going to an ADD switch on the dash. He's done a few and sells non listed kits for a painless process if you call. It's pretty much plug and play. So I called after work on a Friday to just pick his brain. He answered. We talked about it for a few and he convinced me *not* to do it. Yep. He passed on a sale. He was also down in Baja at the 500 when he answered my call. To say he's a solid dude is an understatement IMO. lol

Exactly. It’s the little things like this that keep a company getting good word of mouth. This is why ECGS is so awesome.

Alright, I have to walk back my irritation with Marlin... I’m going to go back and delete my negative posts now.

It seems Trever had to leave early yesterday. The person that I talked to was following protocol, but my situation was unique. Trevor called first thing this morning and took care of my problem.

I won’t get into all of the details now, as it’s not important. Just wanted to update my comments.

There's a 100% chance I'm going to cancel my order if this doesn't ship in the next 2-4 weeks. I had a plan for installing this BEFORE moving to a new house and relying on my rig as a DD again (I don't drive to work currently). I'm not going to sit around waiting forever when I was told "6 week lead time" originally (which btw I am at 3 months of waiting now). I'll just get a TrailGear and get it in a week from when I ordered and get it installed and not have to worry about not having transportation to and from work in OCTOBER when I move.

Did they give you the requested instructions?

I won't buy from them again after I get my crawlbox.

They did not, as they don’t have instructions available.

He did walk me through some of the install though. Told me to call back if I have any problems.

I did not order it. I bought it new in the box from another forum member. So I ha end had to go through the activation of multiple delays as most have.
