    Any suggestions?

Happens at mid throttle, frustrating, dealer says they can't reproduce. I did a basic inspection and couldn't find anything.

    Please lmk,

Could it be a heat shield?

Its got to be a bad hanger, maybe a looser baffle inside that at certain rpms it vibrates or something else inside the muffler. Its a one piece unit, sounds weird. Have them replace it. Is the pro exhaust something you added or is it a Pro. Either way Toyota should honor the warranty.

    Doesn't work that way.

They have to be able to reproduce/see/know there is a problem before performing warranty work.

Unfortunately for him, initial result was 'can't reproduce'.

OP, get to where you can make it happen 'on demand'. Then go back and drive it with a writer in the cab with you.

    Good luck.

Most likely a loose baffle inside the muffler and will probably get worse to the point you will be able to demonstrate to dealer.
These units seem Very well built and should last much longer that the stock system.

It does work that way if he bought it from the parts department and added it on. There is your warranty there. Happened to my neighbors Tacoma when he put on his pro exhaust, now if it came with the pro exhaust from the factory then I completely understand the process. However were not talking if or how to replace it but trying to find the cause.

Sounds stupid but I had a rattle after installing my pro exhaust and it was the bolts next to the cat. They had shaken themselves somewhat loose, I put some locktite on them and they have stayed snug with no rattle.

All stock, it is a trd pro... They were able to reproduce, so they've been working on it for a couple days. Fingers crossed,

Work on it, nothing to do but replace it. Don't let them cut it open and work on it. Force it to be replaced.

Looks like it does work that way after all.
    Congrats OP.

    Yes.

After they were able to 'reproduce', which they could not do originally. My point was you could not just demand replacement.

Fortunately for OP someone with decision making ability was finally able to hear, or reproduce the issue.

It's nice to hear that a dealership actually stuck with solving a problem.

Like I said earlier I completely understand the process, it's a warranty issue. The process was not the issue here, as I have owned several vehicles but sometimes I have things ha have been fixed or replaced even though they cannot duplicate the problem.
