Are the 10 to 12 pin connectors the same size/shape for all years if present?

Not sure if I understand your question? The 2016 thru 2019 trucks will only have the 12 pin connector if the truck was equipped from the factory with either the autodim, autodim + compass, autodim + Homelink, or autodim + compass + Homelink mirrors. If the truck came from the factory with a plain/manual mirror, there will be no mirror wiring tucked away anywhere to add one of these mirrors...you'll have to wire it in on your own, though you won't have to go far for the wiring, as it's available in the A pillar.

Apparently the 2015 came with the wiring up to just in front of the overhead console. I've been stalking other users discussing this, and think I have the connector. I pulled down my overhead console, and saw the little white connector and was just ust trying to figure out if the 10 pin to 12 pin wiring adapter is the same one for all Tacomas or if the plug was redesigned for the '16 plus model years.

I saw you carried the connector on eBay, but listed as 2016-2019...I think this should work for the 2015 if factory wiring present?

    It won't work.

The 2009-2015 trucks used a 14 pin connector, not 12 pin. If yours has it, the connector will be white in color, and it will have either 2 wires (white with black stripe or tan with black stripe and green) or 3 wires (same plus red). All 2014's that had the overhead console will have the 14 pin / 3 wire plug; 2015's are a mixed bag...some have the 14 pin / 3 wire arrangement, some have the 14 pin / 2 wire arrangement, and some are missing the wiring entirely, as Toyota started to eliminate the mirror wiring on the Tacoma during the 2015 model year.

If you need an adapter, send me an email at info@bobsmirrors.com & let me know more about the mirror you have. We are able to supply adapters for a wide variety of mirrors as we have many different connectors on hand.

    Thank you,
    Bob Prim

@RJP869 or anyone else installed the frameless. I have a 2019 with auto dimming mirror and would like to know if I would need a wire cover. If so, which one? Got any pics of the wiring without the cover installed?

The factory mirror should already come with a wire cover, so as long as it's still there, you can reuse them on the frameless mirror, as they fit both styles of mirrors. Hope this helps!
