Who can tell me about Duncan and the surrounding areas? Thinking about moving out that way in the next year or so

It’s a town ran by Halliburton. We do quite a bit of work over there in that area with it being so oil rich.

I should add if you have kids, then it’s one of the better schools in the area. Hell of a wrestling program and If you like to golf they have a nationally ranked golf course

Great, thanks. Our kids are out of the house so no need for school but I can golf once in a while.

The world is our oyster. Just looking to get out of CA in the next year or so, and that area kind of appeals to us. Our kids are in DFW and OKC so it’s kind of a mid-point.

Yeah it’s about three hours to dfw and an hour and half to okc. Bridgeport OVP is about two hours, and a pretty good park. Crossbar OVP is about an hour also. Not much locally for people wanting to wheel. There is an extremely active group in dfw area that I go with a lot.

I work in Duncan, but live about 30 mins away. The area has some good scenery, low crime, and housing is cheap. What else you want to know, lol. Stay West of rail road tracks buying a house.

Look at Marlow too. About 10 mins North of Duncan. Smaller, but a little better in all areas I mentioned. Or live in between. Many country houses with med acreage

That’s all good info. It seems like a good sized town with just about everything we need. We’re going to look at the surrounding towns too.
How is health care out there, do you know?
    Thanks.
