We had an f250 that lift our body shop at Ford, it would drop the tailgate everytime you turned on the left turn signal. It was hillarious.

I want to run something by you guys and see what your input is on it....

I bought a 1994 Camaro Z28 from a guy in Oklahoma at the end of February for $350 (stripped rolling chassis). We picked it up on a Sunday and he said he had forgotten to get the title out of the safe deposit box at his bank. And he would mail it to me. I know the guy but not real well and I didnt figure someone would fuck around on a $350 car. Ive been asking him about the title every couple of weeks since then and keep getting "i havent been home" "I forgot" etc.... I finally had my dad run the VIN through his system (he's OK state law enforcement) and it turns out to have a title loan against it in McCallister, OK. I suspect this is the reason hes been ducking me on the title. My options are try to pursue a way to get the title, or scrap the car and buy another. What would you guys do? At least im out a minimal amount of money but still pisses me off to no end.

Can you file for a lost title or something without having to pay off whatever loan was on it? Different circumstances, but I had to get a bonded title for my Supra when I first bought it. The title was in the name of and signed by the prior owner of the car who had it before the guy I bought it from. The seller only had it a few months before deciding to ditch the project and never registered it. The bond policy for a "lost" title cost me about $500. I got a copy of the bonded title a week or so later. For 3 years, someone could have laid claim to the car and we'd have to go to court over it. Nothing ever came of it and eventually I was able to get a clear blue title in my name.

I'd say at least make a call to see if you can get the title. Or just make it a track car where no one gives a shit about a title
