I stopped in Boise on my way to Bend. I'll be back in Boise next week and then heading north for some hot springs & camping. Want to join up for a night? We haven't planned anything yet other than going out on July 4th morning (maybe afternoon/evening of 3rd) and back to Boise by Sunday night.

    And ... 600k miles!

Do you want my spreadsheet? It's similar to yours except I don't have a ratio of street/dirt/4x4 like you do... You can see SIGNIFICANT improvements when I replaced that AFR sensor and then another small bump when I put on the lighter (and larger) tires (with compensation).

Does the double cab center console work with this style shifter surround? With the cup holder removed of course. I have a lead on a console, hopefully gonna get that today. But its out of an auto so they dont have a shifter surround. IMG_20190625_090527185.jpg

Some people don't like that mirror tint lexus did some years back but that's what I prefer. Pretty sure my extra cab glass has it but not as noticeable.

Speaking of tint, ill be pulling my 5 percent tint this weekend.

its mind blowing as a full blown tax paying adult I get tickets for this shit.

When I was a kid I had a 5 percent tint all around even the whole windshield and never was bothered.

Finally replaced my stock drive shaft this morning with an aftermarket shaft with Spicer joints! It was surprisingly easy to do with a big impact gun. Zip, zip, zip those stubborn nuts all came off and I whacked the thing with a rubber mallet once and it came loose. I reused the old bolts and had everything back together and torqued to spec in about 90 minutes. My original goal was to just replace the center bearing to get rid of my driveline clunk, but @1997tacomav6 made a good argument for replacing the whole thing: the other parts of the drive shaft wear, the U Joints, the CV Joint, the splines on the slip yoke... so I decided to just go with all new instead of doing it piecemeal.

Happened to me here in CA several years ago. It's against the law for us too even though most cops don't care, but every so often one of them will use it as a reason to pull someone over.

In CA you can only have window tint on the front driver/passenger windows if your vehicle came with it from the factory...and I think there's an exemption for people with medical conditions (sensitive to light, sunburn, etc.) now too.

But yeah I had it on my previous car for 2 years, I don't remember what % but it was in the middle somewhere. Could still see in the car but wasn't too light. Cop got me on an illegal u-turn and threw the window tint ticket in for good measure...I had to prove to a judge in court that I got it removed.

    For California..
Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Front Side windows: Aftermarket film must allow more than 88% of light in, or minimum 70% VLT if combined with factory-tinted windows.
Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used.
Rear Window: Any darkness can be used.

When I get my windows tinted I think I wanna tint the front windshield at 70%

I got busted for it ~10 yrs ago so maybe it's change some since, or maybe it varies by county I dunno. I know there wasn't a medical exemption back then but there is now, too

Given how effing hot it gets in some parts of the state, I think we need it to some degree. Not as much as maybe AZ does but it still gets pretty bad here in the summer.

I'm getting ready to paint my camper top hopefully in the next couple weeks. Not looking to get a perfect paint job on it right now since my truck is scratched and faded.

Anyone have an idea of how many spray cans it would take to get a decent layer on it? I found some of the duplicolor 8oz cans on sale. Don't really wanna spend the $20 per can from automotive touch up since I'm still toying with the idea of painting my whole truck one of these years. But I just can't handle the bright white camper top on the dark red truck anymore lol

    * yes I know I could take it to a shop for a few hundred ... yes i know using rattle cans aint gonna be great ... yes i have searched ... yes I've tried to find one to match my truck... *

Cali cops pulled my friend over for tint when I was younger. He got a ticket and they sliced up the tint with a blade.

It took a whole 1 spray can to do my aftermarket fender (2 coats) with a tiny bit left over, for what it's worth. Wasn't Duplicolor brand but it was 8oz. If I were doing a camper shell I think I'd pick up 4 to be safe.

How much did that run you? It looks you replaced the entire rear drive shaft. Where did you order it from?
    Thanks.
