I'd say your hunch is likely pretty good...

But whats in the gusseted joint between frame and shackle?

Anyone know where to get delrin or similar leaf spring bushings? My truck had them on originally and they just wore out. Maybe the Poly are flexing too much.

Kartec has a good selection, but you might have to get them custom made.

Thank you. The leaf spring bushings are standard size, I'm sure something in there will work. I'm going to replace both upper and lower shackle bushings with these Delrin to see if it helps. In addition to the slide plate.

Do you swap your bedsides depending on the activity?

    Haha yes sometimes.

I swap to my stock bedsides if it is potentially going to be a tougher rock crawling trail. Other than that I’ll leave the glass on. They’re on now since the truck went back together within a few weeks of me heading to the rubicon next month.

Well I guess after the first few times, you would have it down to a science. Or you just leave half the bolts out haha. Such a pain in the ass the first time you do it...

Yeah I can swap them in 15-20min. And this last time I made some tail light mounts and trimmed both sets of bedsides so I don’t even have to pull the tail lights now to swap them.

What is your trick for getting to the bolts at the front right behind the cab. Those take me forever to get (at least the top two) because I can't fit my hands in there, and I dont have big hands at all.

Who has done cutting brakes on the rear? Need to do a line lock since I'm loosing the e brake and figured since i have to run brake lines it wouldn't be that much more work to put a set of cutting brakes behind the line lock. Would be using in a low speed aspect with a selectable rear locker. Sounds like it'll help with turning if i lock the inside rear wheel with the rear unlocked to kind of drag around corners and help with turning or am i missing something.

Don’t use them lol. I have a bracket going to the two bolts on the inside of the fender well that goes down to the lower front outside corner of the bedside. I don’t have any of the bolts that were on the front of the bedside between the bed and cab

I wondered if thats what you were doing. I will probably switch to that soon. Not that I take my bedsides off much but those bolts are a pain to get to.

I wish someone would make something like this. I’d love to ditch my number for a tube like bumper. More so high clearance too. Looks good.
