I despise my Dakar’s. All they do is squeak. I’m probably going to 63 swap

 

It's not so much the squeek, the shocks seem to clank in potholes

 

I'm going to try putting liners in them when I eventually replace the shackle hangers, hopefully it will help. The leaf springs only last so long on these trucks so I may upgrade to Deavers or look into doing the same once these ones start to get worn.

That's no good, limit straps might be worth a look

 

Thanks for the tip. I shook the bed now that's it's almost empty and found two bolts really loose on my water port mount. It made a metal on metal sound when shook. Really getting this narrowed down ha

 

Mine squeak horribly, i got pissed off at them one day and put it on the lift and jammed grease in between the springs. Solved the problem for all of 500miles

 

Same, the paint on them seems to suck too, i'm assuming that's the cause of the squeek, they ride and perform well enough though

 

I have been pressure washing mine pretty thoroughly after trips and spraying the hell out of them with dry Teflon lube once dry.

turns them white but has helped a lot with the squeaky squeaky..

 

I'm gonna try the bike tube method when i put in my extra leaf...

Yea last year I did cashmere to Canada this year I did cashmere to oregon

 

I got lucky I guess. No squeaking from my dakars. Either that or everything else squeaked louder than them.

 

When I assembled mine, I later them with red moly grease and no squeaks for over 3 years.
