Also, your existing console is shorter than the one that works with a center console. You either have to find the rare end cap and have a gap in between the consoles, or get a new new shifter console.

Or you can just live with it.

You could probably 3D print the end cap. I’ve seen people do it on here before. If it were me I’d get the longer shifter console.

Not exactly easy in my area to find tan interior parts. If youve got one, Ill take it. Also, how does not having that bracket prevent you from mounting this thing? Its got two bolts going all the way through to the floor already.

How big a gap are we talking about here?

I’ve got no idea. More stability I guess.

Two maybe three inch gap. It’ll also look ugly without the end cap.

Id like to see an actual pic of the part if anyone has one. Seems like I could just use some flat bar bent like a "U"

Hmm. This guy here did it just fine.

Edit. I know the reg cab 2wd consoles were short. Im a 4x4 and my shifter lands in the same spot as his when in 2nd gear (look how far his shift knob goes past the edge of the console in the after pic compared to my pic below, its the same), so its safe to say its the same console as mine.Screenshot_20190625-164315.jpgIMG_20190625_164929756.jpg

Huh, I've never seen a center console in the later 1st gens like the one up top before.

I have one. Its horrible. All base models should have it and the 60/40 setup.

Yeah I can't say I envy anyone with it...it's awfully nice to have the center console for random storage.

I guess on the plus side, you could have someone sit in between the driver and passenger if you needed to, lol. That would suck for everyone though.

Actually, to help me confirm my theory and prove Tyler wrong, can you measure your shifter console please when you get a chance? Lengthwise.

I went and looked at a taco in a yard near me yesterday.

It was just a frame sitting on scrap wheels.
