    I attempted the Laurel Lakes trail last year in May and about halfway in when it starts to climb, it was covered in a huge wall of snow and completely impassable. That was last year too when we got 1/2 the rain we got this year, I bet it's still covered in snow right now. But later this summer it will hopefully be clear. I'd love to do it again and actually make it up to the lake, it's beautiful up there.

    Coyote Flats out there near Bishop is incredible too. Did it with a few guys last summer and we did a pretty gnarly trail toward the end but I forget what it's called.

    @theesotericone is your man if you want to know about the trails out that way, especially the hard technical ones
