So I have a 2002 prerunner and a couple years ago my bearing on my ac clutch broke, so I cut the belt so it wouldn't squeak when it was on. Well I decided to fix it and pulled the clutch so I could press on a new bearing. All went well but once I got the clutch off come of the copper wires from the inside were sticking out. Cut those out and everything went together great.

Now the only problem is that the clutch is not engaging when the ac is turned on and i'm getting no cold air now.

    None
Not exactly what you meant when you said
Can you expand on this? Cutting those wires could be the issue?

Not enough to have a build thread.
Sounds like you need a new hub. Those copper wires sticking out were part of the electromagnet that engages the compressor.

Good luck finding just the hub. You're probably going to need to swap out the compressor altogether. Might as well get a new drier too. You typically want to change that anytime you open up the system

Ok Thanks guys. Ive got a new denso compressor but thought i could get by just changing the clutch bearing. So as long as I get the drier, am I ok just putting on the new compressor? My buddy thought I'd be fine just swapping it but I've heard all kinds of things about the a/c system which is why I have been dragging my feet to do this job.

I almost tried glueing them back in but my dad told me to cut them out. Almost got out cheap!
