Can't really show everything I have in my based on the pictures I currently have, but I can show my setup and describe it.

Under the platform, in the rubbermaids, is a whole bunch of survival/camping supplies. Everything form clothing and sleeping bags to food and kitchen supplies. My trauma bad is attached to the door behind the driver's seat, recovery gear is mostly under the dog platform behind the passenger seat. I keep spare fluids etc in a metal box behind the cab (flush with the platform), and spare fuel on the roof.

Thanks, it changed a few times before I got to this point, and it may again as I try to optimize storage capacity. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them .

The previous owner made these up for the bed. Very handy and they are used often. I usually keep jumper cables, snatch straps/block, a few tools and whatever random junk that is currently in my life. Its nice being able to lift up the plywood incase I have something taller id like to have in the back.

There are actually a couple of threads with folk's camping setups, sleeping platforms, etc. Mine's in one of them- carpeted plywood floor, side storage box, tools, camping gear, toys, junk, etc.

On a daily basis: Just a Rubbermaid bin that has a hard hat, steel toe boots, an orange safety vest, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, a flash light, and a couple screw drivers. I spend 95% of my work week sitting in a cubicle, but have to occasionally walk construction sites. It’s easiest to leave that crap in the bed because I’ve never met a GC or a PM that can stay on schedule.

I’ve got two other Rubbermaid bins that rotate seasonally. One for ski season and one for sailing season, just because it’s hard telling if I’ll go home after work directly to an activity.

I ordered a Tilting Fridge slide from DFG Offroad on 6/15/19. Shipping has been slow, but it is suppose to be here tomorrow. Cost $300 - $400 depending on your fridge. PM me later this week and I'll let you know what I think of it.

Tie-down straps in the left cubby, bungie cords in the right cubby.

That's it as far as the bed goes. I'm always hauling things in my bed, so I don't want to have to clean it out every time I need to use it.

THIS is awesome. Are those shipping blankets you're using in the bed on the cap? How did you hang them? Also, can you explain the platform... what is is resting on? I'm using 1x3 rectangular tubing but would love to get that extra bit of space back to get my totes under there.

The curtains are moving blankets. I used self adhesive velcro to hang it off the headliner. They black out the box pretty well.

The platform is resting on the molded ridge that runs along the length of the bed at the height of the wheel well. I have 9" clearance underneath. My boards run across the bed rather than along its length so there is no central support.

Why not put the spare under your bed?

Your spare holder/chain system uses four bolts. Remove those, and drill two more toward the rear, mirroring the existing spacing. Remount it using those two new ones, and two existing, and it will fit.

I considered that and it’s definitely not a bad idea. This set up works fine for me at the moment though, and the spare is easy to remove if I need the additional bed space.

2.5 inch lift, 265/75/16s Smittybilt awning. Custom Bed Stereo. Rear View camera. Light bar forward and backwards. Front cooler rack. Leds front and under steps. Garmin off road gps. Garmin one road GPS . Two different units. CB, Roof Rack with custom Tent mounts. Traction Boards. Bliston Shocks.
Fishing stuff. Doing the wiring now, fixed the front cooler rack this morning. We have a 10x10 tent that connects to the back of the truck then the smittybuilt 8x6 on the side that is inbound. Our drink and food cooler, goes back there, alone with tackle box, and will have a roll up sleeping bag for if either of us get tired.

I’m curious about the tent that attaches to the back of your truck. Any additional info or pics of that set up?
