Isn't that on par for prices in Boston

I don't go in the city much anymore, or drink much anymore for that matter.

This guy nailed it. That's par for the course for any 'upscale' bar in Boston. The hole in the wall bars have better prices but the popular places are always outrageous.

 

On the occasion I go to a bar I just bring my flask, cheaper and better

 

I don't know about this. Isn't the Great Coral Reef the largest living thing on earth? At least that is what we were taught in school a half million years ago.

 

I’d assume this plaque was drawn up before people either understood or were aware the reefs were alive. At this point it’s the claim to fame and they can’t back down

Yes it is, and I don't miss that. You don't see much Sam Adams in Nashville, but most draft beers here are less than $5, even at the touristy bars.

 

He needs the money for plastic surgery.....LOTS of plastic surgery

That's about average - 10-12$ for a light cocktail in Boston, 8-10 for a beer as well depending on where you are. I have seen upwards of 15-18$ for a cocktail and 10-12 for a beer at higher end clubs/bars.
