Just out of curiosity what made you choose those tires?

Hard to go wrong for the money. I got 55,000 out of a set of those on my Tacoma. Currently have 50,000 on my F150. I could have gone to 60K and still been legal, but anytime I'm over 50K and winter is close I buy new. No point is pushing things to the limit.

I had a set of more than half-worn Cooper Discoverer AT3's on the truck when I bought it. Can't really complain much about them besides their "meh" performance in the snow, but that may have been because they were pretty spanked by that time. Definitely would have gone with them again, or the STT's had I not gotten a killer deal on Wildpeaks.

wont touch another cooper AT3 tire with a 10 ft pole... after 15ishk miles they got insanely loud, snow / ice / wet traction dipped off bad to the point of being SCARY any anything other than dry conditions.

My Coopers had 40,000 miles on them during this November elk hunt in Colorado. I drove 3700 miles round trip with quiet tires that performed great for several hundred miles in snow like this.

Just 2 weeks ago I returned from a 4100 mile road trip from GA to various western states for a vacation. The tires now have 50,000 miles on them and they run smooth and quiet. They still have plenty of tread to be legal. But I will replace them before this hunting season. I'll be at 55K-57K by then.

I suspect you didn't rotate them properly and/or had suspension issues that caused uneven wear. When that happens any tire will be loud.

Traction is largely do to tire inflation. I run mine at 40-45 PSI on the road to get good fuel mileage. But I noticed wheel spin on the snow covered roads, (mud covered later in the week when it melted). Once I went to 25 PSI mud and snow traction improved dramatically. I forgot to air up again for the return trip and noted poor fuel mileage on the 1st tank. Once I aired back up the fuel mileage improved.

Thank you all for your replies, I went with cooper after reading reviews from tire companies and watching videos I was very close to buying the wild peaks but felt like coopers were tougher and would wear better. I can also say that 265/75/16 fit with no problem. I just drove home today after installation and I am amazed how quiet these tires are and smooth, I will let y'all know how it goes over time. 20190625_190040.jpg

Which AT3's do you have? I have LT265/75R16 load range C's... not the 4S model and not the new AT3 LT model.... i swear the things i have on my truck are the sketchiest tire i have ever had at this point with 30ishK miles. They obviously knew something was up with their shitty original AT3 because its been discontinued.

Tires rotated every 5k wear is nice and even, suspension is just fine and always keep them around 30psi. But individual Lug wear is all over the place, siping does not go full tread depth and that has been the cause of my issues because around the 15k mile mark is when the full width tread siping disappeared. Im not the only one with these exact same issues. Needless to say ill never buy the tire again, im going to do what i should of done 2 years ago... Michelin Defender LTX M/S and never look back at any other subpar tire.

Same experience. About the only positive thing I can say about them is Cooper tends to be a light tire and the OP may benefit from that on his 2.7.

Just got some 35x12.5 stt pro for my Jeep and I love them. I'm in the market soon for new tires for the taco and the AT3 are high up on my list

Depends.... the LT265/75R16 in a measily load range C is HEAVY, their P / SL rated stuff is a lil lighter but still heavy.

I have the Cooper AT3's in LT 275/70R17 on Black Rhino Sierra wheels and they seem to work just fine right now.
I think I need to get them re-balanced though. About 55mph the steering wheel starts shaking pretty good till I get up to 65mph.

That's a great tire. Owner I bought my truck from had them put on after the dunflops failed him at 15,000. I took them off at 95,000 but they could have gone another 10k easy. 2013 reg cab 5 speed
