I get kind of sad reading your guys posts on good deals y’all got. Maybe it’s just Utah, but Tacoma prices seemed pretty high when I bought my truck

    It's complicated.
The 2 quotes include the $750 incentive from Toyota. I will take that off, and renegotiate.
I'll check with Kendall, thank you!

I'm sorry to be rude, but... the people at Portland Toyota are TWITS! I sent them the exact specs on what I want to buy (nothing more or less) and asked them to send me a list of VIN's & stock# for what they have currently on the lot. What I received back were long-winded emails loaded with platitudes about "wanting to earn my business" and "I would love to sell you a new truck" and "nobody beats my price!" But they never sent any information--NOTHING! One of their "managers" emailed me after I told them to stop wasting my time; I sent him the same request for information, and he replied with similar long-winded platitudes.

Beaverton Toyota: WAY overpriced. Not even worth talking to them.

Gladstone Toyota: They use email tracking & know when you open an email, scroll through it, forward it (and to whom) delete it, etc. One of their sales people sent me an email telling me that he's seen that I have viewed his emails, and wanted to know why I had not responded!!! Apparently this type of tracking is quite commonplace. (I asked one of the IT security people, where I work, to scan my personal email from all of the dealership responses--that was the only dealership they could find that was using tracking.)

Holding off on naming the other ones, for the moment.

I considered a 4Runner, but I need something that I can sleep in comfortably, while out camping. The TRD OR DCLB is perfect!

Now I need to sell my 1992 Toyota ExtraCab 4x4 pickup, with manual transmission, but no A/C, that has only 98,000 original miles, and comes with an A.R.E. canopy with windoors!

I wonder if anyone would want one of those?

    :)

That's right.. I got a better comparable off-road vehicle for a lower price than a Tacoma Limited.

Paid 19k for my 2003 SR5 4x4 with crank windows and MT. Wanted it that way because I was a Toyota mechanic at the time. Got totalled 3 weeks ago and USAA gave me 11 grand for it 16+ years old!
That's why I decided to get another, 2019 TRD off road 4x4 with tech in super white. Told them "you got one shot at this deal cuz I'm hitting all the Toyota dealerships in Jax". Sales manager brought out the original invoice when they got it with all the hold-backs. Took all that shit out. 36,898 OTD smashing bugs!
Love it and OVtune made it soooo much better...

That’s great, enjoy your 4Runner. But it’s still not helpful in a 2019 Tacoma price thread.

    Almost new Tacoma owner here!

    How does this look?

2019 TRD OR, short bed, 4x4, carpet mats and door sill protectors. No tech or cover or anything.

    MSRP: $38,108

    $33,634 after the $1,000 rebate

    $37,219 OTD

They have another with trifold cover, exhaust tip and mud guards for $1,000 more but doesn't seem worth it to me.

Not sure if I can get the same price on something with more packages?

    Thanks

How did it jump back to $37k? (sales tax?)

Also, why the short bed? I need to ask because I'm wanting a standard/long bed--so that I can sleep in while camping, or when I inevitably lose my job for truthfully answering my boss when he asks me what I think... I see many people buying the 5 foot bed, so I need to ask.

    Thanks.

Yes, sales tax of 7.8%, 499 doc fee and plates of 4xx and some change I believe.

I prefer the look of the short bed, but my dad has a GMC with a 5' bed that I always borrow and I've never needed the extra foot so that was my main reasoning there. I've got 2 kids, wife and large Akita so we sleep in tents.

    I figure I've driven cars my entire life...so I'm gaining 5' of space not losing 1' ;)

Yeah, I avoid Portland PERIOD haha that city is junk.

Reach out to Brett Lambert at Kendall in Eugene. I did it all via email and when I got there he had 3 SR5 longbeds waiting for me to test. His part of the process was very quick and painless.

I can’t believe people buy from places like Beaverton and Wilsonville Toyota. No haggling one crappy price. At the time I bought my Tacoma Beaverton was only offering $1,300 off their 2017’s.. how they sell any vehicles I don’t know. Guess there are a lot of dumb people in the area ha
