Im going to tell you right now that you do not want it. You will not be happy with it and end up switching back to the two piece driveshaft design. The only ones who would benefit off a better made one piece are the single cabs and POSSIBLY access cabs.

You have too much truck for a single piece to be effective, reliable, and maintain a good critical speed.

I beg to differ. I have a one piece on my 07 Access cab and it effectively took care of my vibes and has 60k miles on it so reliable. Truck weighs 6K.

Ummmm... ain't AC & DCSB the same wheelbase, just trading cab for bed in front of the wheelwells?

Also, Chevy made (some, not all) 2500HDs with single piece shafts, including crew cabs, they're like 6' long...

Potentially, unless you own a longbed double cab as I do, and potentially the OP does in which case I believe it may be a different frame all together, though I may be wrong on that.

There are a lot of different factors at play here if he goes the one piece DS route, one of them would have to be pinion angle, if he is lifted in front or back or even both, the jury is out on what he will have to do to get the angle right otherwise he will get vibes which is what he is trying to negate in the first place.

Also, Chevy 2500s driveline angles were designed around a one piece DS straight from the factory, the Tacomas were not. You can do anything with money, but my point is this one may be more trouble than it is worth in the end.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Having a single piece driveshaft actually makes the drive shaft angle less severe. With a carrier bearing you start the angle down to the rear 3rd member farther back. Instead of starting the angle right off the T-case.

Clearance issues (over trail obsticles) would be more of a concern with a 1 piece than the pinion angle.

The 2 piece design is more likely to be for assembly line and parts streamlining than for all of the made up problems people point to.

Tom Woods and tells you how to measure things and you can call them for options.
My 1 piece solved all vibration/shudder issues and stronger u-joints greaseable. Unlike the link above I installed with the slip joint into the trans not the rear to protect it better. I have Dakar springs no lift blocks with about a 2.5" height lift in rear and 5100s on all so front set at 1.75-2". Everyone has opinions so even Woods states that the driveshaft alone can't always solve Tacoma problems as springs are an issue as well as some lifts - loved that one and why did Toyota still put that 2 piece crap in the new models (4 runner does not). Yes the Tacoma DC has near the max suggested length for a 1 piece shaft. So before you order one decide on your final spring and height you want as driveshaft length is measured for a 1 piece.

DCSB and AC are same wheelbase and regular cab already have one-piece driveshafts so I'm a little confused about what you mean

I don’t care for a one piece. I wish we had an easily greasabke slip yoke and a double cardan after the Support bearing.
